Israel’s strategy against the Palestinians must please Medieval historians everywhere.

How Middle Ages can Israel get?

-Its leader is super fat like those Kings who died of overeating (I suspect he eats Palestinian homes). Plus, he lives in a ranch that resembles a castle, replete with a watch tower (and probably an underground dungeon). Peres is the court jester.

-Everyone must join the military and they recieve state benefits (good old fashioned feudalism).

-They are building a six meter wall around and within the Palestinian territories…to keep the Barbarians out!

-God gave them that land…right.

-Now, Israel is looking to build a “moat” between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. They are thinking of selling the sand and dirt they dig up to help fund it, even though they do not really own it.

-Israel has showed a medieval disregard for Palestinian life, as well as a medieval morality in its rampant appropriation of Palestinian land beginning with Israel’s establishment in 1948.

-Israeli officials still practice torture despite Israeli Supreme Court rulings regulating it.

-Like the Crusaders, Israel is obsessed with taking Jerusalem “back.”

We’ll just have to wait for Israel to step out of the past and enter the future…where human rights and basic decency (i.e. not stealing land selfishly) are widely accepted. Hopefully, the rest of the Arab world will help lead them.
