Okay, I usually strive not to promote guilt by association, but what do you think is a worse reflection on a country by an off-kilter American pop star?
Michael Jackson’s move to Bahrain
or
Whitney Houston’s and Bobby Brown’s interest in Israel
If I had the expertise i would set up a nifty poll. Oh and by the way, I am joking here so don’t take this too seriously.

Please, please take Bobby and Whitney! And take the many Israeli and Israeli-Arab leftists and politicians who act against Israel’s best interests as well.
Of course, in that case, you’d actually have to drop the notion that all Israelis are part of the Evil Yid Menace trying to stop all Palestinians from having free health care and puppies.
Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2006, 2:11 pmSince Ali, we haven’t gotten anyone cool… Damnit! Why can’t we attract people like Eva Longoria or Jessica Alba?
Posted by Master Splinter | February 1, 2006, 2:52 pmDo you really want an answer? It’s not good. It has something to do with feminism I’m sure.
I will say that a distant cousin-in-law (not too bright) fell in love with a Saudi, married him and we haven’t seen her since. We hear from her occassionally, she wears a potato sack and pretty much has no freedom, not even to leave, a la “Not Without My Daughter” style. At his wedding he told my father-in-law, “we will destroy your country financially” – what a nice chap!
Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2006, 3:46 pmI suppose he represents all Arabs then?
Posted by Master Splinter | February 1, 2006, 4:28 pmHow come it’s only people with publicity agents who ever try this “Jewish gambit”? And why are they always at that point in their careers where the downslope is suddenly steepening.? Sammy Davis Jr. anyone? Madonna? Didn’t Rosane Barr even try it once near the end?
Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2006, 5:08 pmEva Langoria could use many helpings of mensef (lamb and rice) or some shawarma…
Posted by John | February 1, 2006, 6:36 pmActually, I heard she prefers the malfoof.
Posted by Master Splinter | February 1, 2006, 8:12 pmNo, she is into foul madamas, but it causes her some gas issues.
Posted by أبو سنان | February 2, 2006, 8:41 amI causes us all gas issues. You can hardly blame her for that. Let’s just be thankful it’s not fusoolya ow ruz.
Posted by Master Splinter | February 2, 2006, 8:48 amnothing is as bad as zahra for gas though…
