Bahrain

I think its a toss up?

Okay, I usually strive not to promote guilt by association, but what do you think is a worse reflection on a country by an off-kilter American pop star?

Michael Jackson’s move to Bahrain

or

Whitney Houston’s and Bobby Brown’s interest in Israel

If I had the expertise i would set up a nifty poll. Oh and by the way, I am joking here so don’t take this too seriously.

  1. Please, please take Bobby and Whitney! And take the many Israeli and Israeli-Arab leftists and politicians who act against Israel’s best interests as well.

Of course, in that case, you’d actually have to drop the notion that all Israelis are part of the Evil Yid Menace trying to stop all Palestinians from having free health care and puppies.

  2. Since Ali, we haven’t gotten anyone cool… Damnit! Why can’t we attract people like Eva Longoria or Jessica Alba?

  3. Do you really want an answer? It’s not good. It has something to do with feminism I’m sure.

I will say that a distant cousin-in-law (not too bright) fell in love with a Saudi, married him and we haven’t seen her since. We hear from her occassionally, she wears a potato sack and pretty much has no freedom, not even to leave, a la “Not Without My Daughter” style. At his wedding he told my father-in-law, “we will destroy your country financially” – what a nice chap!

  5. How come it’s only people with publicity agents who ever try this “Jewish gambit”? And why are they always at that point in their careers where the downslope is suddenly steepening.? Sammy Davis Jr. anyone? Madonna? Didn’t Rosane Barr even try it once near the end?
