From Kabob Sports: It looks like Naseem Hamed, aka Prince Naseem, won his latest fight- totally destroying his half million dollar Mercedes McLaren and almost killing another driver. Although he has been talking comeback for a while, he sure doesn't look like he would make his weight for the featherweight division. Although he was not hurt he managed to get a 15 month jail term and other penalties.
If you don't know, Prince Naseem was one of the most entertaining boxers to come along in a long time and was almost as famous for his entrances (including a flying carpet) as his several world titles.
I feel that in the 90s Arab athletes were doing well. Ghada Shouaa won gold in Atlanta, North Africans were dominating middle distance running, Rony Seikaly was in the NBA and there were two successful quarterbacks in the NFL of Arab heritage. The Arabs did okay in Atlanta, and a few Arab teams did qualify for the World Cup, but I am anxiously waiting an Arab-American star in one of the big time sports.

not an athlete, but I think "chop" from the A & E show "king of cars" is Arab-American too. I haven't confirmed this anywhere and wonder if anyone knows?
Naseem was Yemen's pride and joy! But his un-Yemeni behaviour off the ring, has lost him much support here!
It is very unlikely that Naseem will be the same in the ring, as of old, should he stage a come back!
I think all the carbombers on CNN are Arabs.
