Israeli Rabbis: Don't Rent to Arabs!

In accordance with the Jewish State’s long history of providing equal opportunities and civil liberties to all of it’s citizens, regardless of religion or ethnicity, the rabbinical leaders of Bnei Brak recently published an announcement forbidding the sale or rental of apartments to Arabs.

Entitled “A holy calling – regarding the severe phenomenon on renting apartments to Arabs in Pardes Katz”, the document calls on Jewish citizens to report such crimes against Jew-manity to Yad La Achim – an organization which, among other things, serves to rescue Jews from assimilating with their Arab neighbors…

Perhaps what’s most interesting about this document is the reason why both rabbis and Jewish residents felt so compelled to sign it. Inon Pelech, editor of the neighborhood paper Voice of the City, said it’s because “they were worried about… a negative spiritual effect from non-Jewish neighbors.”

That's right folks... Palestinians have cooties!

I don't see how this is any different from fatwas originating from extremist Imams -- Rabbinical leaders from Bnei Brak are notoriously extreme, carry no weight outside of their small communities, and clearly are a minority voice within Israel. Yet the title of the post seems to indicate otherwise. This post is no different than a post that proclaims "American Muslims want to destroy the United States" and all that it's based on is a small group of radicals who proclaim that. I suppose this blog isn't trying to be taken uber seriously, but come on, it isn't trying to be a joke either -- or at least I'd imagine

but in america there is no muslim colonial project tasked with the extrication of land for only persons subscribing to the islam.

in israel, zionism has made no secret of its efforts to curb demography in such a way that jews always maintain the local and national majority.

Seems like an entirely reasonable perspective coming from a completely nobinding unenforceable point of view to suggest that people who want you dead maybe should not benefit from your business. And in fact it's no different from how the Kurds in Iraq feel about their Sunni prior overlords. But that of course gets no attention from you because, NJI (No Jews Involved).

Yeah, the extremist rabbis in Bnei Brak are pretty crap. But I agree with the first commenter; this blog post is typical of inflammatory bigot articles that find a group of extremists doing something, and suggest that it is typical of the entire group. Along the same lines as writing an article titled "Imams want more 9/11s" because you found a few nutjob imams that did. It's a typically shitty internet way of writing.
