In an interview with Dateline, Joseph Samaha, father of Lebanese-American student, Reema Samaha who was killed in the Virginia Tech massacre, spoke of his daughter’s passion for theater and dance, be it ballet, belly dance, or Debke, in other media outlets, her sister and brother also told of her passion for dance, and her dream to tell the story of Lebanon through dance.
Joseph Samaha also said that he visited his daughter over the weekend and attended a dance performance she had. The following three clips, posted to youtube.com the day before the massacre, are perhaps of Samaha’s last Debke performance, the one her family came to attend. They are of a joint performance by the Palestinian student group, Palestinian Awareness at Virginia Tech, and the Lebanese student group, the Cedars of Lebanon, at the 48th Annual International Street Fair, on Saturday, April 14th.
Reema is seen in the three videos wearing the green dress.

Patrick
I'm very sorry for your loss. Allah yerhmah wetowel ahamarcow
Reema was so beautiful. What a waste.
May God bless ALL the victims, espcially the heroes who saved lives.
Heroic Professor a Holocaust Survivor
An Israeli professor and Holocaust survivor sacrificed his own life to save the lives of countless students during the carnage Monday at Virginia Tech.
Liviu Librescu, 76, blocked the doorway to his classroom with his body and told the students to flee.
He was shot through the door by gunman Cho Seung-Hui, "but all the students lived because of him,” Virginia Tech student Asael Arad said.
Librescu was beginning a class on solid mechanics when he and his students heard gunshots in the classroom next door on the second floor of Norris Hall.
When the sound of gunfire drew closer, the professor braced himself against the door, holding it shut against the gunman in the hall, the New York Daily news reports. That allowed the students to escape.
"Students started opening windows and jumping out,” his son Joe Librescu told the Jerusalem Post.
Student Alec Calhoun told the News that the last thing he saw before jumping out the window was Librescu blocking the door.
Librescu was sent to a labor camp in Russia as a child and was saved by townspeople. In 1978, his family emigrated from Romania to Israel, and in 1986 Librescu, his wife and two sons moved to Virginia.
His family plans to bury him in Israel.

Reema rests. Reema sees. Reema lives.
Our loss is heaven's gain.
Her father and I were classmates in high school. I am far away from him now, but always connected. I grieve with him, and Reema's mother, and her brother and sister. Deeply.
To all my brothers and sisters on KABOB: violence and hatred and selfishness and sickness are not of God. Love is of God. Peace--Salaam--to us all.
Reema was a beautiful person, i am deeply saddened to see her life ended so untimely. God Bless the VA Tech community.
