Checkpoint

Israeli soldiers harass and humiliate Palestinians in route to and from school and work. The daily affair which graduates Israel's future leaders who will maintain a policy of Apartheid, occupation, and oppression... Saying "for the love of it" is simplistic, but those sadist fascists seem to enjoy this torture and humiliation of civilians a bit too much.

If you think that is sadist and fascist, you are a plain idiot. Those guards were letting them thru freely, a few "babe" coments, big deal. They actually seemed to know them and picked a few they thought were hot (as in fuckable) to chat with. If you think that is sadist and fascist, you have been brainwashed. Those people know each other and WANT to get along. It's guys like you, posting this garbage (major propaganda to say the least) that continue to fuel the fire. But then again, it's just entertainment and righteousness to you, for you are in America. You don't know shit about living in Israel with whack job Muslims.. There are whack job Israelis too (not these normal men). I have a new idea, let's exploit them for our own entertainment!

Paestinians would never do anything to mess with a jew, would they? No rockets fired lately, oh yeah, THAT is justifiable. Looking at a girls ass and wanting to know her is a sin. Idiots.

They look like criminals.

these soldiers are sick. absolutely disgusting. anon 9:04, i wonder how you'd feel if someone treated your sister or your mother that way. i doubt you'd be justifying these morally perverse actions. or maybe you still would, because you're just as sick.

Question, why do they need a security checkpoint? Because Palestinians are somehow "morally superior"? Give it a rest. You are brainwashed and suckered by your own leaders. i.e. imams Quit that habit and start having recreational sex, or is it too shameful for you??

Better yet, do an in depth study on shame itself, I know you'll be intrigued. Give it a try!

"how you'd feel if someone treated your sister or your mother that way."

Obviously, you've never walked the streets of New York. With your mother or sister. To New Yorkers, it's flattery. To you, its always victimhood. These soldiers are no more sexist than they are to Israeli girls.

But seriously, this is all you've got? Jeez. Pathetic.

Fayyad - So I started watching this with some curiosity. You throw around words like humiliation and apartheid and now you had a video to back it up. So I clicked play, expecting to be horrified by "sadist fascists" making the lives of Palestinian civilians a living hell.

I'm glad to say, however, that no such thing occurred. If anything, this video is indicative of your inherent biases and complete lack of cognition to talk about the Mid East situation with any semblance of intellect. If this is what you call harassment and humiliation that Palestinians face to and from school, well my friend, you are naive. I've been questioned more intensely going into Canada.

Think about it. Think about where you're from. How you were raised. What you were taught. How your brother is "feared even in Jenin"!! Perhaps, there is a slight chance that you're experiences, whatever they might be, have so clouded your judgment that you start to see things that aren't there. Do Palestinians endure harassment and humiliation at check points. I'm sure they do. Is this video an example of that? Not even close. But that the fact that you proffer this bland and uneventful video as proof of "sadist fascist" soldiers who humiliate Palestinians exemplifies that no matter what happens, your mind is slogged down in the dogma that Israel is big and bad and sadistic, and Palestinians are small 17 year old girls just trying to go to school. Open up your eyes man. If this was in English, and that girl was trying to get into Canada, you'd probably yawn. I'm sure your old enough so that you're already set in your ways, but maybe the way you were raised and the things you were taught at a young age are a little off the mark.

Peace.

And who could forget this video?

Please feel free to compare and contrast the levels of sadism and fascism with the video you posted.

And for the appreciators of irony, the turning point for Palestinians.

That was harrassment and humiliation?

That's really the best you can come up with?

You have got to be kidding.

And torture?

Wow - this might be one of the most counterproductive and counterfactual Kabobfest posts ever - and that's really saying something.

Man.

Fayyad, did you even watch the video? Or did someone just tell you how "bad" it was?

Jeez. Lame.

Must be a slow newsday in Kabombland!

The last line of this video is poorly translated. The soldier says "Eizeh Coos", which the video translates as "What a Babe". "Coos", and its derivatives, however are far more derogatory. It is somewhat akin to "what a slut", as it conveys sexual desire while also being used as n insult.

This mixture of desire and repulsion by the Other is a classic symptom of colonialism.

Real Harassment. If you can stomach it:

Part 1 - Five women -- Palestinian, American, Muslim, Christian, and Jewish -- tell stories of humiliation and harassment by Israeli border guards and airport security officials.

It dose.. but is also derogatory.. used as cunt/piece of ass...

That is certainly not nice, and it is hardly the women's fault. There are two sides to every coin however, and if Palestinians didn't incessantly attack Israelis, things might be different. You people need to learn to treat others with respect, treat others the way you want to be treated. Stop trying to one up each other and get on with peace.

How about this strip search?

Don't forget other regional factors.

#2

Have you ever heard the phrase "Trust No one!"? That's exactly what's going on, it doesn't justify all actions, but is a cause and effect on a 2-way street. Add in some major annoyances like no maxi pad and you send a message. It doesn't make it right, but who is going to be a revolutionary in this childish battle? That is the question.

Who can solve this problem, neither side is 100% right, but I would definitely lean towards the Israelis. Their world view is more realistic. The Palestinian "plight" is getting old. Start doing some "collective" good for the world and get some respect. Stop shooting rockets, and women from all over the world with Arab names will be treated with more respect.

Or keep calling them pigs and monkeys and get your maxi's taken before a long haul.

Stop the nonsense, please!

I can't believe you're making jokes about this.

Just accept that it's disgusting and inhumane, and leave it at that. No excuses, no qualifications should be made.

If you keep trying to shove religion down peoples throat, code of Allah bullshit, it's will stay bloody and nasty for a long time. Move ahead and stop holding yourselves back.

This is the tip of the iceberg on how muslims commit crimes against women and children.

This footage is actually taken from an Israeli documentary film that was broadcast on prime time television. The point of the documentary was to criticize the behaviour of the Border Guards who man the checkpoints.

In Israeli slang, "kusit," is actually a compliment. It means, "hot chick." I find it offensive because it's sexist, but it is very common and it is not considered insulting. Women often refer to a guy who is goodlooking in a meterosexual kind of way as a "kuson."

Oh, and by the way: these border guards speak Arabic because they are Druze and Bedouin Israeli citizens who serve in the army.

Fayyad, the problem is the video doesn't show the anger, challenge, and the Palestinian spirit of Confrontation.

Anonymous said...

Haha, so they found some Arabs who are sexist towards other Arabs. Man, I bet Fayyad was pissed when he figured out they weren't Joooos. Too bad, so sad..

How's Farfur doing by the way?
