Miss Teen USA 2007 on why QuiQui, geography teacher, will never be unemployed

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww]

Below is the transcript, but trust me — you’re going to want to watch it. Her makeup is flawless and helps distract from the pain.

JUDGE: Recent polls have shown that a fifth of Americans can’t locate the U.S. on a world map. Why do you think this is?

MISS SOUTH CAROLINA: I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq — everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should… our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. — or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future…

[AC SLATER removes microphone]

MISS SOUTH CAROLINA: … for our children.

AC SLATER: Thank you very much, South Carolina.

[applause]

Is it wrong that instead of feeling sorry for the world right now, all I can do is wonder how many of these ladies AC Slater didn’t sleep with?

[Tarboush Tip: Catholic Sunni Shia]

  2. She looks mad intense while she’s being asked the question. Like “oh, shit, are they gonna ask ME to find the US on a map? Or The Iraq?”

  5. Well, I uh, kind of, like, think that, maybe, the uh, educational system should, like, help the US, too. If it did, then maybe we, uh, might, like, not be bombing, you know, South Africa or wherever that place is. Uh, I mean Iraq, not South Africa. South Africa has like, apart tights, and is like, our ally, in the war against the Arabs and their leader, Osama. Or it’s some country, like, that has apart tights or something, that is our ally.

And you wonder how Bush got elected?

  6. Actually I agree with her,
me, as a US America would like to help the Iraq-damn, if only I had a map though!

  7. Makes me wonder if Iraq wasnt invaded because Bush thought Iraq was a part of Aghanistan?

  8. Wow, she is almost as smart as Bush…

  9. She’s well read for a blonde

  10. You all need to stop hating on this girl.

Its almost like people wait for a pretty girl to mess up so they can make fun of her. She was nervous and completely mis-spoke…

In any event, i think people love when a pretty girl does something stupid so they can feel better and say “she’s pretty, but really stupid”.

it was still funny as hell though.

  11. I watch the news every day waiting for some pretty girl to say something stupid, and I am never disappointed. It’s hard to tell what newscasters are hired for: their looks, their stupidity, or both?

    Posted by Redhawk | August 27, 2007, 11:42 pm
  12. actually, until college i thought newscasters were just people in the average-to-above-average attractiveness range, dressed in newscaster costumes (forgettable suits and makeup) that were hired specifically to read news gathered and formatted by other people. i thought these people were hired on their ability to smile for long periods of time and not have any accent whatsoever. i had no idea any sort of academic achievement was involved.

  13. Man, Redhawk, right fecking on! Couldn’t have said it better. Bush was elected because most people in the United States don’t read books and they get their news from USA Today.

  14. I don’t get it. What’s wrong with her answer? Don’t you believe we should help other countries through education? Did she win Miss Teen USA?

  15. Mario Lopez is so fine.

  16. Oh my Buddha! I can’t F*** believe the words that came out of her mouth!!!

Its funny as sh*t. I can’t stop laughing (and cringing at the same time.)

I wish there was a lever that you can pull to just catapult her off the damm stage for such a idiotic and non-sensical answer.

Buddha help us! (just in case you didn’t catch on the irony, you are our own)
