Not only did homegirl finish the much anticipated documentary on the Palestinian hip hop scene entitled "Slingshot Hip Hop," but out of the record-breaking 3,624 submissions, Jackie Salloum's film was one of the 64 selected to be shown in 2008's Sundance Film Festival in January.

As for now, instead of twiddling our thumbs while we wait for a distributor to bring the film to our respective cities, I say we organize a KABOBvan trip out to Mormon land to show our support.

Does this mean they rejected Chaim Sugarman's semi-autobiographical yet highly abstract docu-essay on his KABOBfest experience? If so, I will have to boycott Sundance and return that library copy of 'the Natural' I've had out for 12 years.
May, I take great offense to this post. You act like you didn't enjoy being "sandwiched" between me and Omar (those "two hormonal Arab men") for 12 hours. I'll have you know that it took a lot for me to be chivalrous. Your breasts are marvelous, and you tend to only wear shirts that barely over your nipples. Do you know what it's like to have a 12 hour boner? No - you don't! It HURTS! Ok?!? HURTS! And besides the peeking down your shirt we did every time you fell asleep on one of our shoulders - we were stand-up gentlemen and treated you (and your boobies) with a lot of respect. In actuality, we should be MAD AT YOU! Because by the time we got to Michigan, our balls had ballooned into giant blue blimps, almost causing us to to implode from within! You could have killed us with those things! I DEMAND AN APOLOGY AND RETRACTION!!!
