Peep the lastest the a-Rab, the student-produced publication out of Berkeley. Great articles, and art. And donate some loot to them if you can.

A couple of things about this issue of A-rab: as for the Edward Said mural and the exclusion of Handala - why doesn't someone go ahead and stencil Handala on the mural anyway? You know, art Bansky-style.
The other thing is about the article on the LAPD announcement about mapping the LA Muslims. MPAC did NOT endorse this plan. The Associated Press misrepresented MPAC's statement in the news article. I spoke to Salam Al-Marayati in person about this recently. There was a congressional hearing with law enforcment and the LAPD announced its plan there. MPAC's response was to ask for details on this plan because it was news to them. Salam said they wanted to know what they were dealing with exactly before commenting further, but they've always opposed racial profiling. The AP turned it around to report it like MPAC was going to cooperate. The good news is the plan has been killed in its tracks http://www.mpac.org/article.php?id=563
