After four decades of whitewashing Israel's military occupation, the UN has finally figured it out: Palestinian violence is a RESPONSE to Israel's arrogant military rule. I am surprised that I am applauding this light bulb moment for the UN but given the recent trends on the part of the UN to try to get the Palestinians to accept Israel's colonial rule, this is a refreshing change.
The comments will appear in the UN's Human Rights Council report authored by Professor John Dugard, a South African lawyer who fought against apartheid. In the report he notes that Palestinian acts of violence, "must be understood as being a painful but inevitable consequence of colonialism, apartheid and occupation."
Expect Dugard to lose his job.

I think you misunderstood, Diana. This person works for the "UN Human Rights Council" which is not the UN, but rather a UN agency. Not a very well respected one, either, as the "Human Rights Council" has a history of having some of the world's worst human rights abusers serving on it.

Hey how about this... Israel can start deporting people just fro being Muslims, like Jordan does with Christians. That'll solve all these problems, won't it?
There isn't any human rights violation involved with deporting people for their religious beliefs, is there? No? Must not be since Jordan does it openly. Therefore, I just KNOW that nobody will complain if Israel does it. Hell, the US can start doing it to. We could even forcibly deport Muslim citizens. Why not? Who is going to say it's wrong, when other countries do it? There's no such thing as human rights, anyway, is there Safiyyah?
In the case of the US, we can simply make a court case that Islam as it is practiced and as it is written is fundamentally incompatible with the US constitution, and that Muslims should be denied both citizenship and residency here on those grounds.

I'm sure the owners of the country's biggest corporation (the Nuqul family), the country's second and third biggest banks (Khoury and Salfiti), the Sayegh conglomerate and the biggest importer of cars and automotive parts (Abu Khader) would be very concerned about their tenbuous status here..!
