Posted by Mehammed "Abou" Mack | February 11, 2008, 6:35 amThat was great, hilarious! I’m almost afraid to wear my kaffiyah now
Posted by moi | February 11, 2008, 7:58 amSorry, but that video was lame. Seriously, try playing it for people who aren’t Palestinian and see how many laughs you get.
“and liberal women who won’t sleep with me” – haw haw that was fucking hilarious punch line! haw haw!
I know Hispanics have some sense of humor, QuiQui. You’ve been hanging out with Palestinians too long.
Keffiyeh infiltrates our nation’s youth
People in Guatemala are wearing towels on their heads now too?
Posted by programmer craig | February 11, 2008, 9:27 amthat was hilarious. i’m not Arab and i watched this like 3 times in a row. I showed it to some co-workers of mine and they all laughed too.

Posted by QuiQui | February 11, 2008, 10:30 amI really liked this video!
Apparently I live in a cultural vacuum, or just don’t know enough cool kids, because I’m the only person I know in the Bay Area with a shemagh. Maybe the trend hasn’t hit the left coast yet? Sweet, that makes me hipper than hip. I guess.

Yeah, right. Where do you work, Code Pink?
inkyfingers,
Apparently I live in a cultural vacuum, or just don’t know enough cool kids, because I’m the only person I know in the Bay Area with a shemagh.
Never seen anyone wearing one down here in Los Angeles either. Including Palestinians.
Glad you mentioned “shemagh” though, as I looked it up:
http://www.rangerjoes.com/scarfshemagh-british-sas-p-1623.html
Traditional head dress, as worn by U.S. and British Special Ops. forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. Protects your head, eyes, ears, and mouth against sun and wind driven sand. Also used as a neck warmer or towel. 100% cotton.
Posted by programmer craig | February 11, 2008, 11:38 amCraig, are you upset b/c two non-Arabs posted after you and said the liked the video? The rest of us find it amusing, so I encourage you to continue posting your comments.
Posted by Fadi | February 11, 2008, 11:44 amFadi,
Craig, are you upset b/c two non-Arabs posted after you and said the liked the video?
One of the two was an anonymous, and we all know how legit the anons on this blog are.
The other one is a wannabe Arab, by his own admission. The only guy he knows who wears a towel on his head.
The rest of us find it amusing
Yes, Palestinians are famous for their well developed sense of humor, aren’t they?
so I encourage you to continue posting your comments.
I will, never fear
Posted by programmer craig | February 11, 2008, 11:57 amshemagh is an Arabic word and only a nut job like you would think the American or british had anything to do with its development :O
I didn’t make any claims about who came up with it, retard. Learn how to read, why don’t you?
My comment was on topic. The topic being non-Arabs who wear towels on their head.
Posted by programmer craig | February 11, 2008, 1:59 pmOh wait I have a link for rednecks
Any racism blog police around at the moment? Where you at, oh great defender of human rights and dignity, Safiyyah?
How about you, QuiQui? Would it be acceptable for people on this blog to start calling you a wetback?

Some actual humor to liven things up in this thread.
Posted by programmer craig | February 11, 2008, 4:07 pmway to be a bigot Craig.
Posted by enon | February 11, 2008, 4:37 pmOK so the video might have benefited from some editing, but Iron Sheikh is totally like, my fave Palestinian Canadian rapper and the point made is valid. It’s just a scarf! OK there are some affiliations implied by the traditional black or red, but mostly, it really is just a scarf, and a really good one too!
Big Zionist that I am I own several really awesome kaffiyehs, both red and black. When I visit family in Canada during the winter they keep me really warm and in Israel they protect me from chilly Jerusalem winters as well as from the sun during hot hikes through the Negev. My Taglit-birthright israel kids love them too and nary a kid goes back to America without at least one or two keffiyehs purchased in the old city of Jerusalem or in the shuk in Akko.
It’s just a scarf people, relax.
Posted by ck | February 11, 2008, 5:14 pmOMG. I almost died laughing at the phone conversation. Here’s my translation for those who were left out of the loop:
Guy 1: I want to remind you: tomorrowis your mother’s birthday. I’ll bring the cake and the Pepsi, you bring the balloons, got it?
Guy 2: I don’t wanna bring the balloons. You bring the ballooons.
Guy 1: Dude, why are you always dumb like this?
Guy 2: I always bring the balloons, you bring the balloons, this time I’ll bring the cake and .
Guy 1: You animal, you dog, I just bought the cake. You bring the balloons.
Guy 2: I don’t want to. You’re a fucker.

do you have a life or spend all your days on Kabob Fest and other blogs trying to be smart
Enough with it already, we’re bored of you. Go play with that axe you got, throw it in the air and try to catch it or something
God bless America, happy? yalla go.
Great videos you guys
Posted by i feel sorry for craig | February 11, 2008, 6:50 pmWouldn’t want you to get bored. You might decide to blow somebody up, or commit suicide. Poor dear.
Posted by programmer craig | February 11, 2008, 7:59 pmGreat video Quiqui, nice site all of you! I look forward to more kabobfest productions.
Posted by Payton | February 11, 2008, 8:33 pmThis is great will. Really funny.
Posted by Modeeb | February 11, 2008, 10:31 pmIf you liked this video, you must die!!!!! OK, so we’re a little more lenient than that.
Your options are:
A)immediate deportation to the country of your choice (Must be willing to accept you. Must be one of the other nations on Earth that practices torture. Must have a strong military and police force looking for Western favor.)
B) Attend a (minimum) 6 month re-education camp where you will get wonderful lessons on How the American government wants what is best for you, How to use Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and the NYTimes in your homeschooling lessons, and much, much more!
C) Let PC pester you to death.
Are you *still* talking?
LOL at video, not at myself, I am rather lame (not as lame as you).
< ---Not Arab
< ---Not married to an Arab
< ---Former active duty Army
< ---Registered Republican (OK, so it was just for this election, shut up)

I do speak Arabic enough to understand what they were talking about in the phone conversation. I guess you (PC) will just have to have one of your 10,000 ethnic friends translate it for you. I haven’t read your comments Craig, I just skimmed them enough to see they are of the usual sort. KEEP TALKING. We can’t get enough!

Hamas will ruin any chance of their ever being a united Palestine.
Posted by Lilly | February 12, 2008, 1:30 pmWhat does Hamas have to do with this video?
Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2008, 1:42 pmIt’s on Alaqsa TV in Palestine, which is run by Hamas.
Posted by Lilly | February 12, 2008, 2:14 pmCool editing, .. now I’m scared..lol
Posted by gr8inferno | February 12, 2008, 2:59 pmLilly: Al Aqsa TV only broadcasts in Gaza. Just for the record. So it’s still safe for Jews to play with bunnies in Ramallah. Phew…

Posted by Anglo-Libyan | February 13, 2008, 1:54 amsincere question: can we assume that any of these trendy twentysomethig kaffiyeh wearers have a political motivation for this attire? or are they for the most part simply following the latest fashion trend?
Posted by yasmin | February 13, 2008, 2:00 pmSome, sure. But most are just emulating Ashley Kate Olsen. It’s quite disgusting actually. There are activists. There are pousers. and there are hipsters. Within activist circles, Arabs have long accepted non-Arabs rocking the headscarf. It’s because the scarf has suddenly become the next big thing that Arabs are irked. After all, it’s an expropriation of culture. Worse still, its being stripped of all national significance… something Palestinians hold very dear to their hearts. Which is understandable given how violently their national identity has been stripped from them.
Posted by Poopy McPooper | February 13, 2008, 2:18 pmAt the other extreme, several Arab (and other Muslim) countries are actively banning the expropriation of culture in the form of Valentine’s Day.
Pretty funny. The protests against Valentine’s Day caused Ace to dub Islam “the Religion of Burning Shit”.

Posted by Will | February 15, 2008, 12:47 pmThree questions please…
1. Why is it that I don’t see Hamas affiliated people wearing the white and black keffiyeh as fateh affiliated people do?
2. Why isn’t Judao-fascism more widely recognized as the number one terrorist problem and the greatest threat to world peace today?
3. Why isn’t the Judao-fascist’s terrorist doctrines in the Talmud (Google Michael A. Hoffman’s Truth About The Talmud report) more widely exposed?
Posted by Anonymous | February 28, 2008, 7:36 amThat’s hilarious. It’s been *the* biggest fashion statement here in Germany since last winter. It’s an international conspiracy! Aarggggh!
Posted by Mango de Mallorca | February 29, 2008, 11:50 amHi all,

Hey craig, stop being a redneck. You give americans a bad name in the rest of the world, and there are actually some intelligent, enlightened americans out there who look bad when you say ignorant shit like that.
Kabofest crew, keep up the good work.

shemagh is an Arabic word and only a nut job like you would think the American or british had anything to do with its development :O.
Here is an English link the only English one I could find right now stating that :
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/shemagh
and if you learn Arabic then maybe you would learn that the shemagh is the traditional head dress for Saudi Arabia:
http://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/
%D8%B4%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%BA
Oh wait I have a link for rednecks, like you, who think that everyone else around the world only speak English and as such all knowledge can only be found in English :
http://archive.gulfnews.com/
articles/print_friendly_version.jsp?
global_name=/channels/gulfnews_com/
articles/07/11/08/10165999.html
an excerpt :
“The shemagh, the traditional red-and-white checkered Arab headdress worn in Saudi Arabia and some other Arab countries, is many things for the Saudi gentleman: a symbol of his heritage and culture, a style statement as well as an accessory.”
how good is your English by the way ? I hope this isn’t too hard for you to read?
Gees I wonder how dumb and egoistic you have to be to think that the brits and yanks were the ones who came up with the shamegh ?
