I actually watched that, and didn't see any propaganda. WTF? Did you accidentally put up the wrong link or something?

Oh, I see. They just splice together news reports from a variety of sources, so it's spun however that media outlet chooses to run it.

This one:

Has some of the worst propaganda I've seen about Iraq, from a Syrian station. Obviously 100% Sunni Arab perspective, and obviously 100% "it's all America's fault" perspective. I guess that makes it "Baathist" perspective, doesn't it?

I've watched the Syrian station part of the vedio. Funny how you call any critcism against the American occupation of Iraq "Baathist perspective". Why don't you call it "Iraqi widows perspective"?

By the way. The Baathist regime in Syria is not Sunni. It's rather "Alawy" sect. And it has been seperated from the Sunni Iraqi Baath ever since Saddam took over.

Syria is hosting 2 million Iraqi refugees. The majority of them fled Iraq after the occupation. Quite a burden on the Syrian economy. So Syria is entitled to a have a perspective on the matter, I'd say.

No shit?

Yes, but the Baathists in Iraq are entirely Sunni, and so when Syria supports Iraq baathists they are supporting Iraqi Sunnis, which are only 20% of the population of Iraq. Do you think that's a legitimate perspective?

Are they entitled to lie?

"Meanwhile in occupied Iraq" - not just Iraq.

"A roadside bomb targeting a US military convoy exploded killing 4 Iraqis including 2 women, and injuring 6 others"

You see how the bomb wasn't INTENDED to kill Iraqis, in their version of the story?

"In addition 8 Iraqis including a woman were killed and 10 others were wounded in sporadic attacks in Baghdad..."

They make it sound like Americans carried out those attacks. Why?

I could go on, but seriously... why bother? That was all in the first 20 seconds of the coverage.

Does it make you feel good to listen to news that consists of outright lies interspersed with gross distortions, b-cell?

Is it the "Iraqi Widows perspective" to believe in falsehoods?

That Syrian station is just a mouthpiece for the Sunni insurgency.

Sunni insurgency is almost dead, by the way. Syria better get with the program before it's too late, don't you think?

That one widow they spoke to the most said militia posing as "police" delivered an "official" summons to her husband that he was wanted for questioning and then took him away and killed him.

She's describing a Shite death squad. Why did the Shia death squads want her husband, by name? Was he an "insurgent"? Did he murder Shia Iraqis? That's the assumption one must make, isn't it? If so, why should anyone feel sorry for her? Did she not know that her husband was a terrorist? Did she not know her husband was making Shia women into widows, and Shia children into orphans?

Isn't that karmic justice, b-cell?

You can and probably will tell me that I can't make these assumptions about her situation, but I think that's the only assumption to make. By her own admission, her husband was not just "in the wrong place at the wrong time" - they came looking for him by name.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/16/iraq-us-sunni-allies-pro_n_87038.html

"The awakening council _ as the Sunni groups are widely known _ said Friday that an American helicopter strafed one of its checkpoints, killing three members in the village of Jurf al-Sakr, about 35 miles south of Baghdad."

"U.S. forces have killed 19 of the council's fighters and wounded 12 others in the past 45 days, including the three who died Friday, Al-Janabi said."

After each incident, the U.S. forces claim that it occurred by mistake," al-Janabi said. "The U.S. side promises to offer an apology and compensation for the victims' relatives but does not fulfill these commitments."

"One of the deadliest cases of mistaken identity occurred on Feb. 2 when witnesses and Iraqi police said helicopters opened fire on a house after confusing U.S.-allied Sunni fighters for extremists, killing nine civilians, including a child."

It is all the US's fault cause you invaded Iraq and you dispersed the police and left it lawless while only protecting the ministry of OIL which is all you care about. But when you invade a country and claim control and "victory " like bush did then you are responsible for everything and anything that happens in it even if you didn't do it. Including water, heating, health care, education and what not !

What does any of that blah blah blah have to do with Syrians telling lies?

BTW, the Huffington Post is really the best you can do? Should I start quoting from "Jihad Watch" now? :O

I think Abu Mazen organized the killing of Mughniyeh, and the Fatah Terrorists carried it out. Everyone knows that they are an arm of the Mossad and the CIA. Since Hizbullah is one of the few resistance organizations, Fatah has as much incentive to hurt Hizbullah as the Israelis. Plus, Fatah is more slimy than Israel, and just as decicated to maintaining the occupation (and their own power). I so no reason Syria would try to kill him, and that was just a stupid part of the report. Yeah, like they want to be vulnerable to car bombs to their top officials in their own capital. that was a garbage video Fayyad.

So does Al Qaeda. Particularly if it's true the Mugger dude was in Iraq training the Mahdi Army.

The only important thing is that a mass murderer is dead. Wouldn't you agree, anon?

Does it make you feel good to defend an occupation based on the lies of Iraq's posession of nuclear weapons, P.Craig?

"Isn't that karmic justice?"

It's obvious you're satisfied with the situation in Iraq. That the Americans did not screw up. That's the "creative chaos" Condoliza has been talking about. It's not just "Sunni" or "Arab" perspective. It's the whole world perspective.

You've obviously never read anything I said about Iraq the last ~4 years. Yet, you think you know what my opinions are.

Shouldn't surprise anyone that you prefer lies that reinforce your own opinions, to facts that don't. You are a Palestinian activist, after all.

You didn't respond to a single issue I raised. You just made personal attacks on me. Typical.
