Speaking of explosions, we cannot forget that Israel is destroying Gaza as we speak.
- Gaza Conditions Are Worst Since 1967, Aid Groups Say. Israel neglects its obligations as an occupying power. Why? Because it's not actually occupying, just destroying, Gaza.
- Islamic Jihad claims it killed an Israeli soldier, upping the ratio to one Israeli for every 50 Palestinians.
- Ahmadinejad hits them with a zinger: "Zionists most dishonourable people." Are they worse than Lee Bollinger?
- Look out Israel: Arab states do what they are best at. They condemn Israeli "war crimes." Thanks guys. How can we ever pay you back for your harsh wording?
- The ADL really hits the important issues first. It condemns "anti-Semitic" Gaza cartoons but ignores the fact that Israel killed dozens of children. The D in ADL stands for defamation, not destruction, Foxman would probably say.
- Gilad Shalit's French Lawyers may visit Gaza on a working vacation. French lawyers can enter and leave as they wish, but Palestinians cannot. Shalit's parents call for talks with Hamas. Doesn't that make them anti-Semitic? Get em' Abe!
- Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, that great peacenik, knows how to bring peace: through more ethnic cleansing. Man, the Palestinians really should have trusted him during peace talks. He is so committed to the ideal, he is willing to try anything, including evacuating roughly 400,000 residents of Gaza city.

Somehow, that sounds different than the ethnic cleansing you paint it as.
Sounds more like getting civilians out of harm's way. A principle required by the rules of war, and a principle Hamas does exactly the opposite of.
Precisely how the Israeli army's founding fathers evacuated 750,000 Palestinians out of harms way in 1948?
I doubt it, Mo. In 1948, there was a war for territory. It is not my impression that Israel intends to claim and keep the Gaza Strip.
These wars that the Palestinians keep insisting on don't seem to work out well.
Might be time to try something else.
In Gaza City, residents went out into the streets and fired rifles in celebration in the air after hearing news of the attack on the seminary.
