McCain Steps Up Kuffiyah Kraze Contest

Not to be outdone in the Kuffiyah-spotting contest, yes it could determine the next President, Republican candidate John McCain is now trotting his daughter around in a purple kuffiyah (see the above picture, which “she” — not “they” — posted on “her” — not the “campaign’s” blog).

Is it a coincidence that this we found this picture only minutes after exposing an Obama supporter’s Islamofashionism (see below)?

This seems to be a slick move on the McCain campaign’s part to win the Palestinian/angry left’s votes. Is he seeking the highly touted KABOBendorsement, which is worth at least 1/20th a superdelegate in terms of electoral influence?

By using his daughter, he also keeps a safe distance from potential controversy from all the right-wing hams he’s been carefully courting. Very slick, my friend, very slick. Can we be the first to give him the moniker “Slick Johnny”? (how original, I know)

  8. http://www.nextag.com/plaid-scarf/search-html

Eh… hate to break it to you, but plaid scarves have been popular in Scotland and Ireland since the dark ages :D

  9. PC, you are so pathetic that I’m actually starting to feel bad for you, but still am amused by you.

It says a lot that you went looking for plaid scarves picture, because you thoght other readers have the same low IQ as you do, that they would believe you lunacy. The only similarity between the Kuffyia and the scarves you link to are the intersecting straight lines.

This is just like saying was popular in Hummus has been popular in the south since the colonial days and showing a picture of grtitz… Get a life. And if your response to me is more than a 100 words I won’t read it.

  10. At least someone feels bad for westerners instead of calling them names. And this earth keeps on turning. It seems nothing can shock it out of it’s revolutions.

No, it says a lot for you that you look at what is obviously a generic plaid scarf, as can be found in any department store in the United States, and see a symbol of Palestinian nationalism, Fayyad :)

  12. In the US, 20-something females do not allow themselves to be dressed by their fathers or “trotted around” by them. Scarves like that are fashion accessory commonly worn by many young people in US and Europe, not political statements. Maybe she knows what it is, maybe she doesn’t. But I’m sure her father didn’t make her wear it. She’s a grown woman, not a toddler.

  14. I just noticed that you think you’re a libertarian. That’s the funniest thing I heard all day. I agree….. you are just always good for a chuckle.

That was the lamest comment you ever made. Period.

  15. I just noticed that you think you’re a libertarian. That’s the funniest thing I heard all day.

I am a Libertarian, Safiyyah. Been one since 1982. My politics haven’t changed much since then. Why do you have a problem believing that Libertarians hate your ass just as much as everyone else in the world does? It’s pretty much universal, you know. You’ll see when the democrats are in power and they keep screwing you :P

What do you consider yourself to be? A leftist? A leftist Muslim… that would be way too funny for words, wouldn’t it? Exactly what in Islam can the left support? :D

You really area lost soul, aren’t you?

  16. what part of christianity advocates the hatred of other people including arab christians?

  17. Ah, well, it’s just ’cause my dad is a true libertarian, which is one that DOESN’T advocate violence, and he’s been working in libertarian politics probably since you were in soily, ranting, angry diapers… but, whatevs. I know some other war-mongerers who think they are libertarians, and it just amuses me. YOU ARE A NEO-CON. Get over it.

I’m not a leftist, or a centrist, or any other label. I’m independent. Trust me, I know about Democrats.

I don’t consider supporting certain politicians a tenet of Islam. Perhaps you and your vast knowledge of the intricacies of my beautiful religion can enlighten me?

    Lol. Yeah, never mind. :D

  18. what part of christianity advocates the hatred of other people including arab christians?

I don’t have time to answer that in detail, anonymous, but Christianity is not a suicide pact. Christians have as much right to defend themselves and their faith as anyone else does.

Also, no Christian is expected to be perfect :)

  19. Ah, well, it’s just ’cause my dad is a true libertarian, which is one that DOESN’T advocate violence

Really? And pacifism is the defining factor of Libertarianism!?

Who knew? Lol. Did you even read that wiki link?

Most members of the US military are Libertarians, Safiyyah. Did you know that? You must have. Safiyyah knows all!

and he’s been working in libertarian politics probably since you were in soily, ranting, angry diapers… but, whatevs.

Is it your hateb for your father taht caused you to reject everything he believed in and everything he taught you, Safiyyah?

And now you want me to take what you say about him at face value? And you expect people to accept your characterization of his beliefs as being unbiased and factual?

I know some other war-mongerers who think they are libertarians, and it just amuses me. YOU ARE A NEO-CON. Get over it.

You don’t even know what a neocon IS, Safiyyah. Get over it :)

My political philosophy was fairly mature when Reagan won his first term as President of the US in 1980. Guess what? There wasn’t even such a thing as a “neocon” back then, dear.

I’m not a leftist, or a centrist, or any other label. I’m independent. Trust me, I know about Democrats.

You aren’t “independent”. That’s a label for political moderates. Which you are NOT.

I don’t consider supporting certain politicians a tenet of Islam. Perhaps you and your vast knowledge of the intricacies of my beautiful religion can enlighten me?

That’s because your religion has no room for politics. Your religion only has room for Sharia law and theocracy.

Which is why you don’t “fit” in the United States. Your political philosophy is Islam. Period.

  20. I love how you tell me that you think I think I know everything about everything and then you proceed to tell me all about myself.

I love my father and my father loves me. He taught me to be a freethinker, which I am, and which you, clearly, are not.

I have been in the US military. I have also been a libertarian. It was actually when I became libertarian that I realized I needed to get out of the interventionist military, which I did, by the grace of God.

Yes, not using violence except in self-defense is a basic tenet of the foundation of libertarianism, which is that people should not infringe on each other’s rights. And that is precisely why we had in our political season this year one candidate who shone above the rest in terms of being against aggressive wars, and that was…. the libertarian, who I am sure you did not vote for, and who I am also sure you probably don’t realize, had more financial contributions from active military members than any other candidate.

You don’t know what a Muslim is. Get over it. :P

You’ve been everything, haven’t you, my dear? And yet, you still don’t know what you want to do when you grow up :D

I asked you to stop telling me about yourself, I really don’t care. I already know more about you then I ever wanted to.

    Craig is being very unchristian.

That means a lot top me, coming from an anonymous troll on a hate site :O
