Let me say this before I start. I respect Nas. I always liked his point of view and he is definetely my favorite MC/poet in the game. But this really dissapointed me. Every race/culture was represented with a grill to the camera shot. While the “muslim” aka Arab, is wearing a headwrap like he is about to go hit up a convoy somewhere in Baghdad. Unfortunately, this perpetuates, in my opinion, the headwrap-rocking-propellor aimin-Islamaniacs. Wrong. What are your thoughts?

I used to love Nas and I used to feel like he was without question the best rapper alive but somewhere between “I Am” and the present he lost his damn mind and exchanged true artistry and intelligent lyrics for the thrill of shock value. It’s either referring to religion in some offensive and shocking way or playing up the Race Card like its 1995. This song is just his most recent evolution of crap. Sad considering he used to be one of the most intelligent and creative narrators in rap music.
