Israeli Kid-Killer Claims Palestinians Bought Granddaughter/Stepdaughter/Victim

By Will

A shocking murder case in Israel captured Israeli headlines. The disappearance and and death of 4-year-old, French-Israeli Rose Ron,involved a grim web of deceit, strange familial relations, and blaming Palestinians (it is Israel, after all).

Rose’s mother is now suspected of asking her husband, who is the girl’s grandfather, to “get rid of her” before he allegedly murdered her, Haaretz reported.

“I don’t want to see the girl any more – get rid of her,” Marie-Charlotte Renault allegedly said, according to a police investigation into the affair.

Marie-Charlotte Renault left Rose’s father Benjamin Pizem when the child was still an infant, later marrying her father-in-law (yes, Pizem’s father), Rose’s grandfather, Ronny Ron. Yummy.

Ron, a 45-year-old Netanya resident, is accused of murdering Rose and stuffing her body into a suitcase, which he allegedly dumped in the Yarkon River.

His initial story to explain the girl’s disappearance had a Palestinian angle:

During questioning, Ronny initially said he had killed Rose, then recanted and told several other stories. Among other things, he said that he sold her to Arabs in the Palestinian Authority.

Apparently there is high demand for little Jewish kids among Palestinians. I don’t think this story got much fraction, but the blame-the-Palestinians instinct kicked in.

When I read the various explanations for the child’s demise, I was reminded that for people all over the world, family life can be marred by violence and abuse. This was a sad and grotesque end to a child who only knew terror in her home — this form of terror remains the most prevalent and damaging. Perhaps the “war on terror” should begin with where people experience it first. What would the foreign policy establishment, military-industry complex and political elite say to that?
