VIDEO: Sarah Palin interview with Charlie Gibson

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaMJ-xTcGxI]

It’s so sad to watch. She’s a trainwreck. She pronounces “nuclear” as “nukelar”.

Just like Bush!

She’s gorgeous and her voice makes my ears bleed.

Just like J-Lo!

At the grocery store yesterday, her face was on all the magazine covers. The woman is a star-ah.

Just like Angelina!

Pure spectacle, little substance.

Just like Obama!

  1. Wow. Charlie Gibson is so frustrated. HA.

  2. Howard Dean was the governor of a tiny state – Vermont – and he was supported by MILLIONS of Americans for PRESIDENT! Who was questioning his experience then?!

The governor of Vermont is a token position, responsible for almost nothing. The Alaskan governorship has one of the highest levels of executive authority of all governorships in the country, responsible for tens of thousands of civil servants.

At times he seems so frustrated, at others angry, and at others really bored with his job. It’s almost as if he wants to go up and slap her. Look at his leg twitching. A disgraceful performance for a journalist.

When was the last time Obama sat down to answer these questions in such depth?

  3. I’m watching this right now. This is so bad. She’s not answering any questions and is stuttering and shaking nervously. This is crazy!

She said that because she can see Russia from Alaska, she has foreign policy experience?

She says the US should not EVER second guess any measure Israel takes for security?

Are you kidding me? This is insane!

By the way — I heard a report today that her son is addicted to oxycotton. Anyone else hear that?

  4. yes, and that is precisely WHY he is doing military service in Iraq. She’s just using her son’s participation for political advantage

  5. She says “nuclear” properly, QuiQui. And there’s nothing wrong with her voice :P

I think the interview was a trainwreck for Charlie Gibson. He had a clear agenda going in to this interview, and he didn’t get what he wanted. Many of his questions were pretty offensive and condescending.

  6. She says the US should not EVER second guess any measure Israel takes for security?

The US doesn’t have a legal right to “second guess” what any other country (including Israel) does for its own security, Buydatti.

That is a question that Gibson should not have asked.

By the way — I heard a report today that her son is addicted to oxycotton. Anyone else hear that?

It is impossible for that story to be true, Buydatti. The US military drug tests, frequently, and he only recently finished bootcamp. If he had a drug problem, it would have turned up long since… either via the drug testing or due to his behavior during recruit training.

If you are going to spread lies, at least pick ones that are less obviously untrue :)

The McCain/Palin ticket is being helped so much by these vicious untrue stories that the media and left wing blogs keep telling. I wonder how many people will be scratching their heads trying to figure out why Americans declined to elect the candidates of such malicious and dishonest people?

  7. like there aren’t “ways” to pass drug tests. they sell plenty of stuff at gnc and online to cleanse your system for that.

  8. Wow, she dodged every questions like a seasons pro. YES OR NO BITCH!

  9. like there aren’t “ways” to pass drug tests.

I spent 6 years in the US Marines, ally. The only way to pass a drug test is to get somebody who is “clean” to fill up a shampoo bottle for you to stuff in your pants. And then you better hope the guy is actually “clean”…

they sell plenty of stuff at gnc and online to cleanse your system for that.

And I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that is actually going to work…

And I’m still wondering how it is that anyone believes a recruit in bootcamp and later in advanced training has enough privacy to be indulging a drug addiction, and how the drill instructors wouldn’t even notice. These stories must be coming from people who’ve never been in the military.

  10. These stories must be coming from people who’ve never been in the military.

…and perhaps desperately trying to smear Palin’s family. Her daughter’s pregnancy didn’t stick, so now these lunatics are on her son. Why? Because he is a US soldier. Liberals can’t understand why ANYONE would risk their life to protect this country and advance its interests.

Palin shatters every stereotype and template in the book. A feminist who doesn’t believe in abortion. A successful politician who has 5 children (everyone knows when the feminists tell women “you can have everything” they mean one child, maybe two, but that’s it). Now a son voluntarily going off to war.

    You’re all scared shitless.

When is Obama going to answer some tough questions? Did you see the bullshit he pulled on O’Reilly?

You people are desperate. Your own candidate is an empty suit. Keep focusing on Obama’s lipstick, daughter’s pregnancy, son’s military service… anything except real issues.

Howard Dean was the governor of a tiny state – Vermont – and he was supported by MILLIONS of Americans for PRESIDENT! Who was questioning his experience then?!

    Damn straight.

As if Obama has ANY experience!

  11. Anon @ 1:43 “You people are desperate…anything except real issues.”

did you watch the video? There were “real issues” addressed to her, to which she had incoherent and irrational answers. She’s even making up excuses for why she said something in the past about God and then attaching a different meaning to it. And the answers towards Russia/Pakistan speak for themselves. I’m one of those voters who are on the fence, and after seeing this interview, you’d have to be really pathetic to let her attractive looks distract you from the important issues of the world – or you’d have to be really racist and not have any regard for those we kill in war.

  12. Wow, she is costume made to capture the hearts of all those with below 95 IQ. That WILL win her elections. There are plenty of people watching this interview who will not pick up on the fact that she does not know what the Bush Doctrine is.

She speaks and dodges well to enough to give all those with prejudice against the democratic ticket to say “good enough for me.”

  13. There are plenty of people watching this interview who will not pick up on the fact that she does not know what the Bush Doctrine is.

Fayyad, that’s because NOBODY knows what the “Bush Doctrine” is. She assumed, like anyone else would have, that he wasn’t playing semantic games to try to trip her up. If he *really* wanted to get her opinion of a policy paper, he would have said something like: “What is your opinion of the Bush Doctrine, that states teh US has the right to engage in pre-emptive war?” but that isn’t what he did, is it? That’s because he went into the interview with the intent of trying to embarrass Palin, and she must have been aware of it from the start – as all viewers were. That wasn’t a legit interview. It was an attempted hatchet job. She did pretty well, under the circumstances. I’m surprised she agreed to an interview with somebody she didn’t trust, where she didn’t get a chance to sign off on the questions ahead of time. Most candidates won’t do that – and this is the reason why. There’s never been a shortage of disreputable journalists who will try to blindside people and get it on film.

  14. And by the way… what do you think the average IQ of a democrat is?

Posted by programmer craig | September 13, 2008, 10:39 pm
  15. They blindly support a “community organizer” from Chicago, financed by anarchist terrorists and slum landlords, educated by the politics of Alinsky and Daley, with one year of experience in the US Senate and two years of running for the Presidency, who has NEVER actually run a general election in his life!

Think about that for a minute.

When Obama ran for the State Senate in Illinois, he ran unopposed in a heavily democrat district. When Obama ran for US Senate, he ran unopposed.

This guy has never been in a real election his entire life, and we’re all seeing the consequences of The One getting his ass dragged into a real fight – a 20 point swing in North Carolina.

Obama is a completely irresponsible choice for President.
