For all of five seconds this morning, today’s Democracy Now gave its listeners something truly substantial to think about when one of their guests, Isabel MacDonald from Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR), uttered the following:
“All the American press can talk about is the fact that Obama is being smeared, not about the fact that a huge swath of humanity is being smeared in this election.”
Poor Barack Obama, indeed.
The rest of the show featured CAIR’s Ibrahim Cooper discussing the Obsession DVD and Isabel MacDonald on the new FAIR report called “Smearcasting: How Islamophobes Spread Fear, Bigotry and Misinformation.” The report seeks to document the public writings and appearances of Islamophobic activists and pundits who intentionally and regularly spread fear, bigotry and misinformation in the media.
FAIR has identified “The Dirty Dozen,” better known here on KABOBfest as the usual suspects: Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Daniel Pipes, David Horowitz, Debbie Schlussel, Pat Robertson, Michelle Malkin, Michael Savage, Steve Emerson, Glenn Beck, Robert Spencer, and Mark Steyn.
Their report outlines four case studies, all already discussed at great length on this here blog: The rise of the term “Islamofascism,” the Khalil Gibran International Academy debacle, the Dunkin Donuts keffiyah hysterics, and the accusations of Obama as a “secret muslim” during the 2008 presidential campaign.

I have no numbers, but I sure hope someone proves it soon if only to annoy Pat Robertson and his Armageddon pushing 666 Club.
It’s been an interesting 7 years with Bush’s wars, and this election has topped it off with constant free advertising for Islam. Republicans are anti-Islam so the Democrats push them on Islam and target all their talking points, it’s become like an important football match with everyone on Earth watching – Islam being promoted by both sides all the time

So true, but they spread Islam to – 28 million Obsession DVDs to swing states, check those states a few months from now and I think they will be needing a lot more Mosques. Those 12 Islamophobes do not say openly that they are KKK, but the sure do not like Obama and are getting desperate – Rush Limbaughe especialy, and they are against Latinos to – so being hated by that bunch of racists is a plus – Islam does not care what color you are and they do
Arabs and Muslims have bean smeared for decades, and the hate is being spread for political reasons these days, but I think America is no longer such “a nation of sheep”, the internet has changed things too much for the hate to be spread without being chalanged and exposed by the blogs.
This might be wishfull thinking on my part, but keep it in mind if you notice a large increase in the number of new Muslim converts.
