Bostonians took yet another stand for Gaza, this time with a funeral procession through the streets of the city. Organized by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, this week’s somber vigil received far less media coverage. Apparently, the local audience can’t handle the image of protesters carrying Palestinian-flag-covered coffins on a sunny January Saturday.
Of course, they were all over the story last Wednesday when four non-violent protesters were arrested for refusing to move from the floor of the Israeli Consulate.
Oddly enough, one William Woodward did manage to get this fantastic op-ed published in the Seacoast Online, a magazine based only 60 miles north in super white-bread Portsmouth, New Hampshire. What’s wrong with you, Boston media?
