michael hureaux perez has a two-state solution to seriously consider. Israel in its present configuration and location, he says, “is just not working out.” Its behavior isn’t suited to Palestine – a bad choice, in hindsight, for a Jewish homeland. Better to “offer the new Israeli government the states of Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas,” where “orthodox Christian populations” that are so enamored of the current State of Israel “should be quite amenable to moving out of the region” to make room for the newcomers. Right-wing preachers like Pastor John Hagee should certainly be capable of explaining that “God has now revealed Texas to be the promised land of Zion.” After all, “If you’ve sold one ‘God gave them the land’ package, you’ve sold them all:
I’m for a Jewish homeland, but I don’t believe it should be in Palestine. Palestine is just not working out. So I’d like to propose modestly that we consider starting all over again, and aid the government of Israel in moving here to the United States. It’s the only practical solution to the problem. Polls tell us that ninety nine per cent of the people of the United States favor Israel in the current Gaza Strip conflict, and given those levels of support, I think it’s time for we over here to start walking our talk. On a strictly moral level, it’s the only right thing to do since, after all, this is the country that refused Jewish exiles sanctuary during the 1930s when it became clear to the U.S. State Department that the Nazis were preparing to launch a mega-pogrom in the ultimate phase of the 900-year-old European effort to exterminate the Jew. So now, it’s time to cut U.S. losses in the Middle East, and move the Jewish homeland here to the good old United States of America, where everybody supports Israel and there are no anti-Semitic traditions like there are in France and other pro-terrorist countries. To start, I believe we should offer the new Israeli government the states of Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. All of these states have heavy orthodox Christian populations that favor the creation of the State of Israel, so their populations should be quite amenable to moving out of the region they currently live in and maybe relocating to major urban centers like Houston and Corpus Christi. People in the United States believe that dense population has been a character building exercise for the people of the Gaza Strip, so it’s got to be good for people from the United States with our “can do” attitudes and endless optimism.

Posted by yasse | January 27, 2009, 5:10 amnice! but…then they would be occupying, colonizing the land of the aztecs…
Posted by bodyontheline | January 27, 2009, 6:00 amHey, the US plays a huge responsiblity in babysitting Israel. It’s like giving a huge allowance to a spoiled brat. Europeans have always said that the US took unprecendented resposibilty since Israel’s creation and that only they have the influence in ending its wars. I don’t think this article is literal, but the point they’re trying to make is, if we’re willing to support them to an enormous extent – let’s test that support in literal terms. I bet we’ll back out.
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 6:31 amLoooool.
Now that is something worth getting behind. I will offer up my town that I currently reside it. It’s starting to bother me anyway. Since there are hardly any Muslims here besides me, the people should not react violently.
QQ sorry if I ever offended you, you are amazing. Accept my deepest apologies. I have learned to disagree without being so disagreeable. I hope I have, anyway. It’s a process.
Posted by American Muslim Girl | January 27, 2009, 6:49 amFunny, I wonder how you guys would react if there was an article saying how Palestinians just aren’t working out in the Middle East, and just cause headaches for Israel and every other Arab governments. Maybe they should all go to Michigan??
Hmm., I’d prob. be accused of supporting ethnic cleansing.
BAR is a joke, to be honest with you.
Posted by Ted | January 27, 2009, 7:40 amTed, I was just about to leave that comment! If these idiots hear ANYONE talking about transferring Palestinians to Sinai and Jordan, where there is plenty of land for them, they foam at the mouth. But discussions about transferring 6 million Jews from Israel is perfectly legitimate.
I’m not surprised QQ wrote this post, communist piece of trash whore that she is.
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 7:46 amI have seen an almost identical piece on the other side a few years back: if the Arabs support the Palestinian so much, it said, why won’t they allocate a tiny area of their vast lands to the Palestinians, and the Palestinians can all move there. After all, Palestine hasn’t been working out for the Palestinians all that well lately, has it? What? Not funny you say? Of course not, because ethnic cleansing is not funny. Except, of course, when it’s applied to the enemy. Then it is Hilarious.
Posted by Ran | January 27, 2009, 7:47 amWoah woah woah this is a JOKE??
Intimidation tactics. Classic.
Posted by American Muslim Girl | January 27, 2009, 7:49 amOh yeah, and chill out guys. You don’t like it when people laugh at you and want to kill or displace you.
WE GET IT
Posted by American Muslim Girl | January 27, 2009, 7:55 amAMG, we’ll transfer your family first. Is it funny now?
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 8:09 amAnd no one is discussing how Hamas broke the ceasefire.
Kalash, where’s your artful defense of the “resistance”? Mohammed, where is your spin about who REALLY broke the ceasefire first? Will Will chime in that there wasn’t ever a ceasefire to break? Will QuiQui use her trailer trash whoring skills (which after Castro, Chavez, underage Mexican pseudo-revolutionaries and Qaddafi now include Black Panther Wannabes) to get us an inside track on the Black Power’s cookie baking contest to benefit Hamas resistance?
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 8:27 amDude, grow up. We can’t laugh?? We’ve been stressed for weeks due to CHILD MURDER and stories of Sophie’s Choice like scenarios and you want to jump all over me because of jokes and an apology? GROW UP Anon. Why are you Anonymous anyway? Scared?
Someone almost ran me down with their car the other day, while shouting out their window because of my headscarf and the fact that I was a woman alone (easily intimidated), obviously).
Go ahead and say you know what it’s like.

This website is purposely created to take a lighter look at dark issues. Seriously dark issues. Sometimes they are serious. Sometimes funny. Can’t handle it? Pop some anti depressants and stay away!
Posted by American Muslim Girl | January 27, 2009, 8:29 amYes, Arabs are very discriminated against in the US. They are THE MOST discriminated against, right after Jews and blacks.
You want to talk about Sophie’s choice? Try living under Qassams for three years and wondering if your kids will make it to a shelter in the 15 seconds they have before metal shards maim or kill them.
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 9:16 amI’m not Arab. I’m caucasian.
I love my religion. It opens me up to a lot of hate, from everywhere. Things get better over time as people get to know me better. As I stop attacking and being defensive and start learning to live with neighbors.
There are two sides to every coin. Can we not just accept that?
Posted by American Muslim Girl | January 27, 2009, 9:29 amWe could, but blogs like this encourage ethnic cleansing.
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 10:01 am“Try living under Qassams for three years and wondering if your kids will make it to a shelter in the 15 seconds they have before metal shards maim or kill them.”
Try living under a blockade where your kids have to eat bread made from animal feed. Not to mention the fact that they have to dodge 2 ton bombs on their way to school.
Posted by super sayyin | January 27, 2009, 11:37 am2 ton bombs? really? i just want to know, why did you choose 2 tons? there are practically no 2 ton bombs in the Israeli arsenal. They use 250lb, 500lb, and 1000lb. 2 ton is something for really special and unusual targets, so why 2 tons?
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 2:00 pmWe should ask Native Americans if they mind us giving away those states – and heck, as long as we’re at it, maybe we should check with them to see if they mind us having taken over the rest of their continent as well…
Posted by Paul Maurice Martin | January 27, 2009, 5:18 pmNative Americans like to say that they don’t have a concept of “land ownership”. It’s only the white man (and the black, yellow, turquoise and peacock men) that likes to own everything.
Posted by Anonymous | January 27, 2009, 11:13 pmPalestinians are the natives of the land. We have a similar concept too: The land owns us, we could never own the land…
It was the Turks who brought this concept and the European Colonial Settlers (the soon to be “Israelis”) who exploited it and usurped ALL the land.
No matter any of your zionist arguments: Palestinians are the INDIGENOUS people of THAT land. There are no ethnically hungarian, polish, german, russian, french, even iranian Palestinians. See?
Every Israeli is essentially either a colonial settler or an immigrant to an occupied Palestine (and the the recent ones, we’ll say to Israel.)
Palestinians came from Palestine… There is no other place for us to go.
Try Europe, Israel! Try Europe- you already in the eurocup! No more annoying flights to games- yall can take the train now assholes!
Posted by Tarik | January 29, 2009, 11:12 amTarik, I think you are confusing Jews with Westerners. Jews are semites, even if they act like westerners. Believe me, I understand your confusion. On the other hand, you try living in exile for 2000 years. It plays tricks with your head. But don’t worry, one by one the Jews will start learn to act like semites again.
The fact is, every Torah, Bible and Quran makes it clear the ownership of the land. Don’t you find that strange? It doesn’t mean that ownership must be asserted today.
However, there are other Jewish legal concepts that make very clear that the land cannot be bargained away for whatever reason, even temporarily. I am not speaking of relinquishing spiritual ownership, because that is impossible. I mean physically giving the land up, which is possible, but illegal. These laws would apply if the land was in Israel or Texas. It has to do with the defense of the border and very strict laws related to preservation of life.
So yes, the land is holy, and yes, it is the eternal inheritance of the Jewish people. But this is not the reason to defend it now. It must be defended now based on the principle of preservation of life.
