KABOBfest put the call out, Greeks responded, and responded, and responded, …and America canceled the arms shipment it had planned for the apartheid state through the Greek port of Astakos:
WASHINGTON (AFP) – The US military has to had to cancel a planned shipment of munitions from a Greek port to a US warehouse in Israel due to objections from Athens, a Pentagon spokesman said on Tuesday.
“I think the Greek government had some issue with the offloading of some of that shipment in their country and so we are finding alternative means of getting that entire shipment to its proper destination in Israel,” spokesman Geoff Morrell told a news conference.
Kabobfest’s special investigation reporter, Chaim Sugarman, reported from Athens today that the Greek government was expected to do the right thing and prevent the shipment on moral grounds, not just for fear of retaliation from Greek activist who have received the KABOBfest request. Chaim also reported that a contact within the state security revealed to him that intelligence has been collected on activists planning to sabotage the shipment, which further influence the government’s decision.

AS SOON AS THE NEWS SPREAD VIA INTERNET THE PUBLIC OPPOSITION WAS LOUD AND CLEAR, AND OUR MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS WAS OBLIGED TO ASK THE AMERICANS TO DO THEIR DIRTY JOB ELSEWHERE.
