UJA uses 1300+ deaths in Gaza to raise money for… Israel!

I could not believe my eyes, my poor innocent eyes.

Here I was reading a deeply personal and unsettling account of the Gaza aftermath in the Huffington Post, when I came across an ad at the bottom of the article that seemed to contain an unforgivable typo:

After Gaza
1,300 Deaths, Many Were Civilians. Send Aid To Isreal. Please Donate
2008.ujafedny.org/Gaza

When I hit the link, I was taken to the site of the UJA Federation of New York, where I found no mention of Gaza civilians, only appeals to raise money for Southern Israelis.

I made sure to take a freeze frame of the ad, in case it were to suddenly disappear. Click on the photo below to maximize it.

I wonder how many tainted dollars UJA has raised so far, in their sorry attempts to detour compassion originally intended for Palestinians?

  1. I don’t always necessarily agree with the opinions expressed on KABOBfest, but this is a supreme bit of assholery.

  3. If you thought that was crazy, you need to see what happened during the Hezbollah war in 2006. The New York Times wrote an article about it in November of 2006 entitled For Evangelicals, Supporting Israel Is ‘God’s Foreign Policy’

    Here’s an excerpt:

“Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, the founder of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and the Israeli government’s official goodwill ambassador to evangelicals, said he had discovered the depth of that support when he ran television commercials on the Fox News Channel seeking donations. The response, mainly from evangelicals, “burned out the call centers,” Mr. Eckstein said. During the five-week war, his group added 30,000 new donors. Thanks to the influx of money, he said his organization has exceeded its income from the first 10 months of last year by 60 percent, putting it on track to pull in $80 million this year. “The war really generated a momentum,” Mr. Eckstein said.”

If that doesn’t blow your mind, I don’t know what does? How can we stop the Zionist War Machine? This is just heinous insanity!

  6. wow. That’s messed up. Complaining to the Jewish organization will do no good, because they probably won’t care. The Huffington Post is the one that you’d want to direct your complaints to.

  7. It couldve been a typo. After all, the UJA doesn’t even know how to spell “isreal” correctly

  8. If you’re looking for a genuine way to help Gaza, try this: I Heart Gaza Campaign.

BTW here’s another interesting link worth disseminating: Palestine Global Resistance.

I hope you find them of interest.

    Kind regards.

    ”it couldve been a typo”

yes of course it could have been. Why cant anyone else spot that. People are so blind these days. f***ing anti-Semitics.

Thx for the laugh and the possible but dumb suggestion, anonymous.

  11. Supposedly there is a blockade of Gaza, starvation in Gaza, complete poverty in Gaza…

but someone forgot to tell these people

  12. No it could not have been a typo. How could it be a typo when it is for a JEWISH organization? What exactly would the typo have been? The 1300 palestinians was supposed to be 13 israelis? Get real.

As for the photos from OCTOBER, including a photo of someone shopping during a THREE HOUR WINDOW, i dont see what this proves. Wow, some people are able to use computers at an internet cafe, imagine that. I’m sure their lives are free and prosperous
