The US used this very same chemical weapon in the attack on Falluja in 2004. White phosphorous. The marines called their concoction ‘shake and bake’ as they used the chemical mixed with explosives against Iraqis in Falluja. Italian documentary filmmakers Sigfrido Ranucci and Maurizio Torrealta reported that the US used white phosphorous against civilians in Falluja, and showed images of incinerated bodies; the US denied the allegation. White phosphorous is a chemical weapon as soon as it is used directly against humans, a chemical weapon made illegal in 1980 by the Geneva Conventions. It was widely used in the Vietnam war by the US, as pictured here used in a grenade.
White phosphorous melts flesh to the bone, causing fatal burns.
It ignites on contact with oxygen. Particles on a person can be temporarily extinguished with water, but as soon as they are dry they will recombust. Longer-term exposure causes poisoning, which leads to wounds of the mouth and eventual destruction of the whole jawbone.
Exposure to white phosphorus smoke in the air can also cause liver, kidney, heart, lung or bone damage and even death.A former US soldier who served in Iraq says breathing in smoke close to a shell caused the throat and lungs to blister until the victim suffocated, with the phosphorus continuing to burn them from the inside.
White phosphorous is the chemical shown clearly in the many images of Gaza. It is easily recognizable by any veteran, thanks to our country’s long history of war crimes. White phosphorous was used against Lebanese civilians in 2006 in Israel’s war on Lebanon. The Israeli government maintains that it is only using white phosphorous as a smoke screen, but they refuse to release what is actually in the shells they are dropping on Gaza.
When there was a white phosphorous cloud simply hovering somewhere along a highway after an accident at a British plant, it was treated as a risk to public health and families were told to stay inside with windows and doors closed. Clearly, the lungs of Palestinian babies are not as worth protecting as the lungs of British ones.
This stuff is an illegal, incendiary poison. It’s being used right in front of our eyes in the most densely populated place on earth where greater than 50% are children. We probably manufactured it, and at the very least, we paid for it. This picture shows a white phosphorous shell exploding on the ground in Gaza.

This is nonsense, Emily. Outright lies. You aren’t going to get any traction out of this. The lies about WP (which is a smoke munition) were debunked years ago. It’s not worth my time to expose a lie that has already been exposed, but maybe somebody else will take it up.
The least you could do is come up with something new. Pictures of dead babies and claiming smoke munitions are chemical weapons? This is how you expect to defend the monsters in Hamas?
Want some photos of Hamas using white phosphorous in the refugee camps yesterday, trying to screen their movements from Israeli gunners? It seems they got some of this deadly toxic banned WMD smoke grenades from Iran and don’t even realize what it’s for! Incidently white phosphorus does have the ability to melt people to the bone as shown in the picture above. We’ve seen it time and time again, yet Israel continued to use it as a “weapon,” on civilian targets.

Super Sayyin, can you read? I put the specific EXCLUSION of smoke and signaling munitions in BOLD for you. WP is EXCLUDED from being considered an incendiary munition. It cannot, under any circumstances, be considered an incendiary munition, according to that very treaty text that people are throwing around. Are you really this dense, or are you just pretending?

Yes Indeed phosphorous bombs are tolerated when they are used as smoke screens. Yet this use is only tolerated on battlefields, and where no civilians are near, and thus not in urban warfare.
Phosphorus bombs are only ok if 1) used EXCLUSIVELY as a smoke screen or light source 2) never in civilian areas.
Using it to lighten up at night in the jungle = ok, using it on a battlefield to mask movement of tanks = ok.
Shooting in i n the most densely populated area to burn indiscriminately civilians = war crimes.
I have not heard Isreal say they used it as exclusively smoke screen, on the contrary they pretend they don’t use it while many evidence demonstrate that is false.
And the many images, many reports from victims and independent sources clearly show it is used primarly as a WEAPON of terror and NOT as a screening device.
Even if Isreal would say it used it as a smoke screen, even then it’s utter bullshit and still a warcrime, because you have other means to achieve a smoke screen in civilian areas. As I said phosphorus bomb only ok when not in inhabited areas and not near human being (military and civilians) because then it’s not a smoke screen anymore but a CHEMICAL weapon.
So even using it on a military complex where human beings walk around, is a warcrime. You can only use it’s smoke effect when throwing it in a zone where no risk exists of endangering people.
So if you explode a phosphorus bomb in the desert and a hidden scout happened to be there, though luck for him. If you shoot it near a troop of soldiers, you know are there, then you are a war criminal.

Phosphorous bombs are not considered wmd when used exclusively as a smoke screen. But due to it’s nature it is forbidden to be used near living beings, since then it stops being ‘just’ a smoke-screen but turns into a chemical weapon.
