We should be marching in gay rights parades, supporting African-Americans in their struggles against racism and railing against economic disparity. We need to take a page from the South African anti-apartheid movement work in the United States. The ANC worked with all the progressive causes of the day to build coalitions. What are we doing to build alliances to bring justice to Palestine? There is a shift in leftist thinking in American away from support of Israel and its so-called war on terror. We must take advantage of the moment to bring energy to Palestine justice issues. Palestinian activists should make every cause for human rights and justice their own.
