  5. So, what are the top ten things done or could be done that have real conseqences for Palestine?

    Posted by Yasser | March 4, 2009, 4:45 pm
  6. I would add denying holocaust to that list, idiots always do it thinking they're supporting the Palestinian cause that way. Nothing could be farther from the truth since denying a historical fact that we had absolutely nothing to do with will only backfire, giving Israel more chances to invoke the Holocaust when it exercises "self-defense" against innocent Palestinians.

  7. Dad?

  8. I agree, but I would put this under the umbrella of anything anti-semitic.

  9. agreed. If there's one thing above all that damages the Palestinian cause, it's the various anti-Semitic actions by some

  10. Jerusalemite/Yaman/Shafiq: Wow, you guys are some clowns. Don't worry about fighting against "anti-semitism", they have plenty of champions. This is silly and stupid. Why don't you clowns do a commercial like Russell Simmons. Also, be sure to always be on the defensive when you're defending Palestine…pointing out, each time you rage agains Israeli tyranny, that you are not anti-semetic. Clowns.

  11. Why can't you fight anti-Semitism and Israeli tyranny? By fighting anti-Semitism together with Israeli tyranny, Israel supporters can't label you an anti-Semite, can they?

  12. Why not fight the inethical treatment of animals while you're at it. If you allow Apartheid/land stealing Israel supporters to label you anything, then you need to revise your perspective…Those who use the language of diversion/switching issues and smearing to respond to our demands of justice and equality will do so no matter what you say. So allowing anyone to define you or how you demand for that which is inherently yours is just silly and…to go along with your line of reasoning, ineffective. Fuck them and anyone else who takes my land, kills my family and denies me equality. Period – I don't care what they accuse me of or label me.

  13. Moreover and ironically, you're be as cynical as they are actually. When they label you an anti-semite in this context, it is meant to change the focus off of Palestinian rights – not because they actually think you're being anti-semtic. So when you "…[fight] anti-Semitism" so that "Israel supporters can't label you an anti-Semite" you are being just as disingenous and cynical as those who you are defending yourself against.

  14. You're not getting me. Aren't there people within the Palestinian cause that are anti-Semitic? Don't their voices and actions undermine the Palestinian cause? Then shouldn't we be fighting anti-Semitism as well as fighting the Israel supporters seeing as fighting both does more to help the Palestinian cause then only fighting one?

    Posted by Shafiq | March 6, 2009, 4:18 pm
  15. There are people within the "Palestinian cause" that are a lot of things…There are a lot of people who purport to support Palestinians who do things that those who seek to continue to oppress us use as a way to convolude the issues. Would a member of the ADL feel the need to stand up against a Jew who while speaking out against a member of a Neo-nazi group also says he hates white people? Do any of the various groups whose mission it is to eradicate anti-semitism ever engage in this discussion? I mean, by letting others control our message, set the anchor for what is even relevant or cause us to defend ourselves against fake accusations of anti-semitism or even real accusations against those who claim to be part of the Palestinian cause is just silly…even this back and forth with you is silly. There is plenty we can talk about re: Palestinian suffering.

  16. Fair enough.

    Posted by Shafiq | March 6, 2009, 6:03 pm
  17. It may be indeed disingenous, but who cares as long as it works towards silencing accusations of anti-Semitism. Palestinians need to be smart about this and cognizant of the not only the way the worlld perceives Israel but more importantly of the lowly tactics Israelis use to gain worldwide support. This isn't about allowing the other side to define us or to set the terms of the debate, its about neutralizing their dishonest attacks. Ignorant blowhards like you are the reason Palestinians are so behind and haven't taken advantage of the inherent justice of our struggle.

  18. Well, a little to do with… Grand Mufti Haj Amin Al Husseini the recruiter and radio propagandist for the Nazi regime who pledged support of the Arab-Islamic Ummah to the Nazi regime and progressed the Muslim Nazi [Handschar] divisions – he wanted to arrange the creation of death camps in the Arab world which would be his tools for the extermination of Middle East Jews. But yeah, denying the Holocaust only hurts the cause.

  19. If you are just and honest, the righteousness of your cause will succeed. Yasser is in denial about something that will actually weaken the cause.
