Apparently Pradas are too good to remove in a mosque… Pope Benedict just toured an Amman mosque without removing his shoes. As it turns out, he was prepared to remove his shoes at the entrance, but the hosts did not indicate it was important for him to remove the papal soles.
May be he just assumed all the other individuals in his guided tour, including imams and a prince were barefoot because they did not own any fancy shoes.
