KABOBfest Claims Victory in Iranian Elections

Iran-electionayatollahSince Iran’s two major candidates, Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, are both claiming victory in Iran’s presidential elections, we figured we may as well join in and declare ourselves a winner. We rock.

We were not formally permitted a place on the ballot by the Supreme Religious Council (citing Programmer Buydatti’s lewd posts). However, we did get some pretty important endorsements from the council’s head honcho.

Our highly effective “Vote or Get Hung” campaign to reach the hipster youth of Iran brought them out to the polls in bundles.

IranElectiondscardsAnd we introduced the whole idea of candidate baseball cards, a gimmick quickly picked up by street vendors.

We did not do very well with the Iranian-American vote, especially among the Persian demographic in Los Angeles. They weren’t feeling the “dirty Arab” love rays we were sending their way. But, I have reason to believe we scored very well with the imprisoned blogger and Iranian Arab demographics.

For these and other classified reasons, we accept the will of the people in choosing KABOBfest as the next President of Iran.

  2. What's going on in Iran right now is kind of huge, terrifying and sad. Where's the rest of your coverage Kfest? If you feel left out of this Persian affair then I'll let you know that the word on the street in Tehran is that some of the riot police are imported Arab Hezbollahis.

  3. How do you know the word on the streets of Tehran? Do you speak Farsi or do you trust what you hear from your US UK intermediaries (why would you believe them, they are the biggest liers)?

And why do you think what is happening is sad? This is a nation that is standing up for home grown democracy. This is a nation unlike any other in the middle east. This is a nation that by truly demanding equality and justice will bring Good things to the middle east.

So, why be sad? Be proud, like I am.

  4. And one more thing…don't you guys think it is time to stop joking around and get serious about your real obligations to your home towns?

Is it not time to get serious about the injustices that your people are experiencing?

Isn't it time to start holding US responsible for all the destruction they have inflicted on the Middle east and demand a better life for Arabs of the Middle east?

Is it not time to demand an end to US occupation of Iraq, and Israeli occupation of Palestine?

Isn't it time to get serious?

    And stop joking.
