As if Fox News didn’t distort the truth enough, now they’ve annexed Iraq too! If they had labeled Egypt, I wonder what they might have called it…Morocco? Seriously though, why is Fox making its own maps anyway? Don’t they have people for that? People who are not conservative idiots with no knowledge of the Middle East, perhaps?

I'm surprised they didn't label Jordan as the "home of the 'Palestinians'" (emphasis on Palestinians surrounded by quotes).
Posted by Nth Republic | July 30, 2009, 11:41 pmIt's a sneaky that the colonial bastards equated Lebanon and the West Bank with the same color and anonymity.
Posted by BCell | July 30, 2009, 11:53 pmWow, good eye…
Posted by Nth Republic | July 31, 2009, 1:07 amSpeaking of of color coding, does that mean that Israel and Jordan are part of the Axis of Evil?
Posted by Los | July 31, 2009, 3:27 pmThat is actually pretty awesome.
Posted by SanaKF | July 31, 2009, 5:56 amFaux News probably did this on purpose, with orders from the highest echelons of their lie-soaked leadership. This is the map they want Americans to see in their minds in order that they forward the talking points of the extreme religious right in our country. They've never been about telling the truth anyway, not since Murdoch took over especially.
Many "good Christians" follow Faux News slavishly against all presentations of actual fact as opposed to the fear based rhetoric that Glenn Beck so emotionally evangelizes. They must believe this because to believe this means that Armageddon is inching ever closer and this means God want's us to defend poor Israel against those pagan Arabs…
Seriously, I'd estimate about 90% of firmly entrenched Right Wingers get their "info" from Faux…
and now you know why so many Americans are completely clueless when it comes to anything dealing at all with world politics.
Posted by Ocean | July 31, 2009, 2:23 pmThey mislabeled Israel, too. Isn't that Washington DC?
Posted by Sean2009 | July 31, 2009, 3:45 pmWhat the shit, I just noticed where they put Egypt.
WOW.
Posted by SanaKF | July 31, 2009, 9:29 pmFOX News is certainly not the first news network to use a graphic with a mistake – if this is even real.
This is your evidence that FOX News distorts the truth, a graphic with a mistake on it? Come on, get real.
FOX News is the number one news network in America and has been for several years. That's because most other news organizations have such left-wing spin. On FOX you can get fair and balanced news, without all the leftist bias, along with the opinion shows like O'Reilly and Hannity.
All of the mainstream news outlets are left-wing biased, it is no secret. From ABC, NBC, and CBS to the cable news to newspapers and magazines.
One of the worst cable news networks is MSNBC, which is basically a propaganda outlet for the Obama administration. They are owned by GE, which are poised to make a fortune in government contracts if Obama passes some of the crazy legislation he wants. As it is, GE is doing pretty badly: GE’s second quarter earnings fall 49 percent
If Obama gets his socialistic way, then GE won't have to worry about competing in the free market selling washers and dryers, they will be another company supported by the government.
Meanwhile, as Government Motors, GM, flops – FORD which didn't take any government money is doing pretty good: Ford to post U.S. sales rise in July from year-ago

Posted by eagle007blogger | August 2, 2009, 11:29 pmPlenty of people here think Obama's an idiot, and speaking for myself, I can't stand any television news in the US, but to say Fox is fair and balanced? That's about as accurate as saying MSNBC is leftist.

Posted by JillianKF | August 4, 2009, 3:29 amI would have liked to see the graphic linked to an apology or something but I don't agree with you about FOX news at all. I don't give credibility to something just because it receives high or the highest ratings or the most viewers. I dislike the vast majority of pop music as it is grounded in making money and selling records. Quality cannot be defined in art, or music or anything else simply because it is chosen for it's marketability. All that means is that it fills a niche of desire for a group of people, regardless of size and/or influence.
Chew on this eagle007blogger: Barack Obama won the election. He won by a landslide in many urban areas. That basically equates to highest rated. He was the presidential candidate with the highest ratings and the most viewers, and now he's the president.
It should be recognized that fox news is the highest rated AMERICAN NEWS CHANNEL, but it should also be recognized that majority opinion isn't necessarily the mark of quality.

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration is refusing to quickly release government records on its "cash-for-clunkers" rebate program that would substantiate — or undercut — White House claims of the program's success, even as the president presses the Senate for a quick vote for $2 billion to boost car sales.
WTF??? Wasn't this supposed to be the administration of "transparency"? Boy all those promises are drying up fast!
