No. If you look at their aims: First to get rid of the allied forces, Second 'marginalise' (slaughter on masse) the Shiite population, establish a pure Islamic state in Iraq and THEN help OBL with his global Jihad.

Some HAMAS members used to be members of al Qaida. Many HAMAS members received training at al Qaida camps. There have been dozens (probably hundreds actually) of consultations re: planning and policy between HAMAS and al Qaida leadership. HAMAS expressly and openly supported al Qaida in Iraq, including supporting Zarqawi by name and referring to him as a martyr when he was killed.

Really? Because I did the Google Search, as you asked, and got nothing.

Yes, really. His ethnicity has nothing to do with it. It's the same reason why I wouldn't believe an article on Tibet written by a former Chinese Ambassador to the UN. And it's the same reason why I wouldn't trust Fatah claims about Hamas and vice versa. It's not ethnicity or religion, it's their political beliefs.

The ambassador presented unproven claims, which in no way show that Hamas has links to Al-Qaeda. I also think the recent episode of violence in Gaza, proves this 'fact' beyond doubt.

P.S. I DID do the search without quotes, and the results I gave were the ones that I found. I also redid the search using the more common spelling 'Al-Qaeda' and found the same articles.
