Who Said “No Democracy In Iran’?

Iranian Democracy
At least these ones did not need a manual and talking points memo from party insiders or insurance companies like the republican operatives that have been going around disrupting healthcare reform town hall meetings.

In anycasee, this article, Who Wants Sactions on Iran?, by Hamid Dabashi is a must read for those who care to understand the context in which the debate over Iran is taking place in.

Apparently, there is reason to believe this picture is photoshoped…

  1. This is a sorry ass post, Fayyad. There are so many better things you could have done with that photo than to try to trivialize the upheaval in Iran while at the same time engaging in mental maturbation about how much you hate America.

  2. That photograph turns out to be a forgery by the way.

  3. The photo is actually Photoshopped in two places – one is the finger, the second is the car/backdrop. Note that the men behind Ahmadinejad seem to float in mid-air…

  4. So what if it was photoshopped? Iranian women around the world used the image as their avatars during the #IranElection protests. The message is loud and clear.

Now here's a snapshot of a young Iranian lady waving a finger in protest that isn't photoshopped: http://www.vizardofthevestside.com/2009/06/effemi…
