I think you're right in pointing out that Arab music videos are pretty "trashy". Unfortunately, most of them follow the same model, copied from US music videos. I always find it interesting that many very "conservative" Arabs (e.g. in Yemen) find nothing wrong in watching these music videos?

You raise a good point but I think time will tell. In the West, when rock & roll first started it was very much a counter-culture movement. At the time most people were still into the big-band productions, jazz and a variety of other more tame and socially acceptable forms of music. And yet Rock & Roll changed western society forever. This may be a start of some kind of underground cultural movement, or it may be nothing but some artists on their way to obscurity

I like the Sandy Eyak video best out of the three, her singing is best. The Myriam Fares video is pretty catchy. I don't like the Elissar video.

I have seen this music video and I also liked it…but the horror of the shake it video cannot be redeemed by a one good song. I dig her new 7ilwa ya Elissar song. Thanks

Elissar's actual MUSIC video, as oppose to that 'dance video' up there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWYvdnmG5KU she has a good voice too.
