A right-wing group affiliated with the Republican Tea Party in Temecula, California is planning a protest this Friday at the site of a proposed mosque.
The organizers have alerted its members to bring Bibles, dogs, flags, and female singers during Muslim Friday prayer. They argue Islam is not a religion, Muslims cannot be loyal American citizens, as they hate and kill dogs and do not allow women to sing. These people are either ignorant or just notorious liars. Here’s why:
Like is or not,Islam is a monotheistic religion with 1.2 billion followers.
There are 7 Million Muslim-Americans who are hard working, law abiding citizens of the United States.
The fact remains, Muslim-Americans are a vibrant part of of America; they contribute to our economic growth and serve in our nation’s military. They do love and equally care for America.
Muslims do believe in all Holy scriptures that perceeded Islam including the Old Testament, the Torah,Scrolls of Abraham, all the prophets and Judgment Day.
Muslims neither hate nor kill dogs. They simply consider dogs to be unclean animals. However,The story of the dog is mentioned in Holy Quran: The people of the cave.[Saurat Alkahaf] As far as flag is concerned, the Tea Party protesters want to give the wrong impression that Muslims hate Old Glory. That is a lie! The US flag was the first and the last to be saluted by this Muslim veteran.
Two of the most popular singers that ever lived in the Middle East, were female who have entertained people for nearly 6 decades. One is the late Um Kolthum of Egypt. She is referred to as the legend.
The other is the Lebanese singer, Fairuz, who is better known as “the lady with the angel’s voice.” America’s favorite beverage is coffee and not tea. The leader of the tea party is no Sam Adams. The Tea Partygoers are all the conservative chicken hawks who talk tough but don’t have the balls enlist in the military or to put their own lives on the line. At least this Muslim observer did for 20 long years, and so his oldest son who served two tours of duty in “hell on earth” called Iraq.
The truth is, the Tea Party movement is the enemy within. It hates immigrants, supports wars and invasions of other countries, favors corporate America over the working class and it loves hating Muslims.
Take for instance the movement’s shining star, Sara Palin, who last November made a bigoted remark on Fox News during interview with Sean Hannity while discussing the tragedy at Fort Hood.
Mrs. Palin said she’s “all for” profiling Muslims if it saves “innocent American lives.” Wouldn’t those Muslims she’s in favor of profiling be innocent Americans as well?
What she really meant – “I’m all for profiling Muslim – American people if it saves non-Muslim-American lives.”
Can you imagine what an uproar the world would be in if Palin’s remarks were directed toward another religious or ethnic group? Shame on her!
This demagoguery by Mrs. Palin has a threatening and chilling effect on American Muslims like me. Hate speech is what preceeded the concentration camps during WWII.
Now the Tea Party is spreading ignorance and bigotry, by harassing American worshipers during prayer in California. That is a clear violation of the basic principle upon which our country was founded–Freedom of Religion. By doing so, it is also tearing down rather uniting Americans.
Red-blooded Americans should be furious and they should express their outrage over the Tea Party’s ignornace and bigotry directed toward our fellow Muslim citizens. No Tea for me! I prefer coffe simply becuase the ignorance of the Tea Party has no end.

I was also wrong about the tea party movement until I found a great site that made me understand it better. I met alot of friends there and must admit I was impressed with the way they think. I assumed they were all insane people then I found out why they are the tea party movement. It is because they worry about the United States and the constitution.
Posted by Miesha Rohn | November 22, 2010, 12:34 amNo you're not. I bet they won't let you anywhere near a microphone. You're the one who doesn't get the email until AFTER the event, am I right? Frickin radical lunatic.
Posted by Chen | November 22, 2010, 12:54 ama. Racist Against Muslims?
Which race is that. Islam has among it's members representatives of every race on earth. You name it. Chinese, Asian of every sort, European descended White, African, Arab, Indian, Aryan (the kind that live in Iran and Central Asia and the Caucasus not the Nazi kind) and any other race that one can name.
Islam is a RELIGION. It's not a race. Stop being stupid.
b. Muslims do not "believe in" all Abrahamic scriptures. The Qu'ran lays out a different story for many of the stories in the Old and New Testaments. They believe that the Qu'ran is the final revelation of God (Allah). They respect the other "Religions of the Book" as they call them. They do not believe in them. That would be blasphemy. They do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God or divine. They believe that he was a prophet.
Please be informed before posting ignorantly. Muslims would be just as offended by this trash as the idiots against whom you rail. As the saying goes, though, ignorance begets ignorance. When will it ever end?

That said, her remarks are repeated across the globe in reference to other religions by Muslims damn near daily. I still have seen no uproar.
Why? Because you can't speak, read or write their languages.
Damn, you people annoy the piss out of me. Imagine the uproar from that!
Posted by Dawood Khan | February 13, 2011, 9:27 amAs for the rest of your drivel, you do exactly the thing that you complain about. You rail against stereotype and racism and bigotry. Then, you post a bigoted, intolerant rant.
How are you any better?
I'd say not.
Posted by Dawood Khan | February 13, 2011, 9:28 amI know quite a few Tea Party members who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. I know quite a few Active Duty Tea Party Members.
