I think those of you, I mean us, who egange programmer craig on this blog have done more to improve his self esteem than that did his parents and pathetic years.

There is way too many little pathetic creatures who do no significant harm to anybody, like craig, to monitor and edit. If anything, he's entertaining, I wish his posts were not so damn long so that I would start reading them.

Shukran ya Ismail - I will take your advice and ignore you-know-who. But I would ask Will, or the powers that be, to consider blocking him. And not because I am intolerant of opposing points of view or timid about heated arguments or favor an intelligence bar for admission to the discussion, but because he has resorted to the ugliest and most base kind of desperate nastiness (see the sickening post above). There's a point far beyond one being critical and here I'd call it abusive.

From the looks of your laundry list of grievances, you are using the word "progressive" to apply to a socialist. Is that right? Why don't you just say "socialist" or "leftist" then? Is it really necessary to bastardize yet another piece of political terminology to pretend a group of people that most Americans find repugnant are something other than what they are?

Can you recall the same rationalizations now being trotted out for the empty suit Obama having been brought up to defend Clinton? What did we get? Welfare "reform", NAFTA, hundreds of thousands of dead in Iraq due to sanctions, bombing Sudan's only pharmeceutical plant, evisceration of federal watchdog agencies...need I go on?

Instead of this silly schoolgirl prattling on about Obama's dynamism and charisma, we'd do better to look at his record; continued funding for the war on Iraq, renewal of the Patriot Act, obediently presenting his pre-lubricated posterior to AIPAC in order to do penance for his earlier murmurs about the unfairness of US policy to Palestine.

If I'm offered only corporate candidates who've made it clear that they won't even promise to have US troops out of Iraq by 2012, who demand the insurance industry stay in the health care bureaucracy, who parrot AIPAC's line, who use weasel phrases like "combat troops" when making their mild utterances about withdrawal, leaving aside the thousands and thousands of non-combat troops, mercenaries, et al ....if you offer me these two, why would i vote for the smoother, more dynamic one?
