I think Abu Mazen organized the killing of Mughniyeh, and the Fatah Terrorists carried it out. Everyone knows that they are an arm of the Mossad and the CIA. Since Hizbullah is one of the few resistance organizations, Fatah has as much incentive to hurt Hizbullah as the Israelis. Plus, Fatah is more slimy than Israel, and just as decicated to maintaining the occupation (and their own power). I so no reason Syria would try to kill him, and that was just a stupid part of the report. That one widow they spoke to the most said militia posing as "police" delivered an "official" summons to her husband that he was wanted for questioning and then took him away and killed him.

She's describing a Shite death squad. Why did the Shia death squads want her husband, by name? Was he an "insurgent"? Did he murder Shia Iraqis? That's the assumption one must make, isn't it? If so, why should anyone feel sorry for her? Did she not know that her husband was a terrorist? Did she not know her husband was making Shia women into widows, and Shia children into orphans?

You can and probably will tell me that I can't make these assumptions about her situation, but I think that's the only assumption to make. By her own admission, her husband was not just "in the wrong place at the wrong time" - they came looking for him by name.

Syria is hosting 2 million Iraqi refugees. The majority of them fled Iraq after the occupation. Quite a burden on the Syrian economy. So Syria is entitled to a have a perspective on the matter, I'd say.
