It is with tremendous sadness that I announce the end of an era here at KABOBfest. Long gone will be our excellent photoshopping works and sub-juvenile humor (which he abandoned in late 2007 anyways).
Sadly, Nadeem will no longer be blogging with us. Though he left us on good terms, we cannot divulge the reason. Instead, we will offer you several possible explanations for why he's leaving the fest:
a) to spend more time with his family.
b) to join the Mitt Romney campaign as an adviser on Taybeh affairs.
c) to devote more time to important theological matters.
d) we voted him out.
e) he finally had enough of Fayyad's spelling errors.
f) the "Zionut" "MoFESTers" (both KF trademarks) drove him out with their endless stream of nonsensical apologetics and mindless talking points.
g) to work as Chaim Sugarman's administrative assistant.
We will miss you Nadeem.
Nadeem designed this poster for our 2000th post. For complicated reasons pertaining to the shortcomings inherent to our "Arab mind" (and a plethora of incomplete "DRAFT" posts) we could not determine which post was our 2000th -- so we will assume this one is. Enjoy this genius poster and share it with your friends, enemies, and frenemies.

The Palestinian Youth Network
The following is a guest posting by KABOBfriend Samar - who would like to share her experience attending the first conference of the Palestinian Youth Network with the KABOBcommunity. Enjoy!
I was invited to a conference sponsored by a new France-based organization called the Palestinian Youth Network (PYN). At first I did not know what was the vision or the political affiliation of this organization, but the fact that I was going to meet with 120 Palestinians from different regions was exciting and so I decided to participate.
I arrived in France late in the evening of November 22nd to find the conference's participants taking part in an impromptu celebration of Palestinian folkloric song and dance. I was super excited and introduced myself to everyone there - singing and dancing along with my brothers and sisters in Diaspora. Needless to say, the evening was inspirational.
The next day the work started. A conference agenda was distributed to everyone to familiarize them with the upcoming activities. It was packed with different lectures and workshops. It was overwhelming, as the activities started at 9AM and continued till 9PM. We had different lectures on various topics such as the refugees’ status and camps’ conditions, the Palestinians living in the land occupied in 1948, Palestinians right to return, the role of the Arab countries and the situation in Palestine, occupation and its effect on the new generation, one state/two states solutions, human rights violations, and international law.
We also participated in different workshops on various topics such as dialogue, leadership training, media communication, advocacy, and lobbying. Later, we were divided into small groups to discuss the Palestinian community’s activities in the countries we represent - during which participants shared ideas, knowledge, and experiences.
The motive behind establishing the PYN and organizing this conference was to connect Palestinians living in Palestine and the Diaspora, raise awareness on important issues of Palestine and to help Palestinians living under occupation. The organization recognizes the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) as being the sole representative of the Palestinian People, as well as the importance of restructuring the PLO and reactivating its institutions in Palestine and the Diaspora. It also emphasizes the Palestinian National principals and rights, foremost among them the right of return and the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital.
The conference ended by commemorating the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people with a peaceful demonstration in Paris, supporting the struggle of Palestinians. French and international organizations in solidarity with the Palestinians, as well as important Palestinian figures and the General Union of Palestinian Students in France, participated in the demonstration.
I arrived back in the United States on November, 30th inspired and reinvigorated to delve into the work we promised to do - which is mainly to raise awareness on the Palestinian cause and continue building the network of Palestinian youth. I have to say that this was by far the best experience I have had. I built relationships with amazing Palestinians all over the world. I also got the chance to listen to the lives my brothers and sisters are leading in the occupied territories.
All was well until last Monday. Less than 10 days after the conference had ended, the General Coordinator of the PYN, Seif, was detained by the Israeli occupation forces while entering the occupied Palestinian territories via the Allenby (Al-Karama) Bridge. During the detainment, he was extensively asked about the PYN and his participation at the conference. He was released after 7 hours of interrogation and being thoroughly searched. Even though Seif has been detained before, the press release stated that " Saif Abu Kishek;s detention comes as a result of his participation in the second annual conference, the founding conference of the Palestinian Youth Network (PYN).
After finding out that Saif was detained, I was extremely shocked and could not believe that he got arrested. I was frustrated when I knew the reason behind his detainment, which is his participation in a peaceful conference that was comprised of Palestinian youth. I felt like even though the conference was held for educational and networking purposes, still Israel felt the need to arrest Seif.
This incident is another example of Israel violating another basic human right, depriving Saif of the right of movement even though he had the proper documentation to enter his homeland. One should keep in mind that this is happening in a place which claims to be one of the most democratic states in the Middle East.

Protocol of Zion XXV: Blogger Infiltration
I guess it’s finally time to come clean about who Quiqui really is. We tried to keep this shit under wraps cause its like one of those awkward things where everyone knows what the deal is, but everyone’s too freaked out to say it out loud - cause that would make it too fucking real.
At first we figured her for one those slutty anti-Zionist activist groupies (you know who we’re talking about, EMILY) whose got a thing for pissing off daddy with some huge A-rab cock (sorry brovazzz, ya’ll iz so pre-2001). But then – only two weeks into her KABOBdomhood – she drops the mother freakin’ Jew card on our semi-private listserv (Omar, seriously what the fuck are you still doing on it?). Can you believe that shit?
So what do you say to something as eff-ed up as that? It’s like when your mom catches you jerking off to a copy of her February issue of Martha Stewart Living. You both know what happened, but ain’t anyone ever saying shit about it.
Needless to say, we remained silent. Another Jew on KABOBfest? What is this Hollywood? No one mentioned a thing about THE THING. But soon we began to get freaked out. True to her nature, she slowly, but surely, began taking over everything wonderful about KABOBfest and declaring it her own. It started with her labeling us all Sodomites, occupying Will’s awesome Christmas-theme site design (not that we’re saying she’s anti-baby Jesus Cristo), and then converting our new look into something resembling a mishmash of milk and honey. What more? She flirted her way to the top of the KABOBchain and demanded Will make her an administrator – thus establishing a de facto checkpoint for all our thoughts (and Fayyad’s anti-spell check activism).
Ok, so as I type this… Quiqui’s sleeping over my house cause she’s hell bent on stealing my virginity. I won’t let her though, cause I’m saving myself for my fourth wife (she’s 14 next week, happy birthday habeebty!!). So like any man in my position would do, I obviously waited for her to fall asleep before rummaging through her duffle bag to find a decent pair of panties to sniff. And when I did, I came across this crazy ass manifesto for Sephardic-cyber domination:
Protocol of Zion XXV: Blogger Infiltration
1. I pass now to the second lit candle on this the first night of Chanukah
2. The Queen's plan of action for the current moment, and all the more so for the future, will be unknown, even to those who are called her closest KABOBers – at the current moment, this be the toothy grinned Russian.
3. The Queen of the Jews must not be at the mercy of her passions, and especially of sensuality: on no side of her character must she give brute instincts power over her mind. – unless, of course, it means flirting with the man made of iron who pretends to run this blog.
Signed by Quiqui, the representative of Zion, of the 69th Degree
WTF does this even mean?!?!?!?!?!?!? Peep this ritualistic photo that the hidden camera I installed over my bed last week to prepare for May’s immanent visit captured of Quiqui doing right before I put her Jew/Arab/Guatemalan/American/Spanish/Black-from-the-back ass to sleep.

2 Interesting Quotes aaaand a D-Bag...
I really have no commentary to add to the following two quotes that stem from this week's substantive and highly successful (does the sarcasm punch you in the face?) Annapolis Conference. I just think they're deserving of some analysis, if not a brain-fart…
Olmert implicitly compares the current state of the Palestinian Territory to Apartheid-era South Africa...
"If the day comes when the two-state solution collapses, and we face a South African-style struggle for equal voting rights (also for the Palestinians in the territories), then, as soon as that happens, the State of Israel is finished," Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Haaretz Wednesday, the day the Annapolis conference ended in an agreement to try to reach a Mideast peace settlement by the end of 2008.
Condoleezza Rice explicitly compares Arab discrimination in Palestinian Territory to the Jim Crow-era American-South...
In other news, this guy is doing wonders for the Israeli people...U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told a closed meeting of Arab and Israeli envoys in Annapolis this week that her childhood in the segregated U.S. south helped her to understand the plight of Palestinians and the fear felt by Israelis, the Dutch representative to the summit, Franz Timmermans, told the Washington Post on Thursday.
"I know what its like to hear that you can't use a certain road, or pass through a checkpoint because you are a Palestinian. I know what it is like to feel discriminated against and powerless," Rice was reported as saying.
Peep the awesome terrorist photo in the background. This douche-bag makes Al-Qaeda look like the cast of Sesame Street. I love it!

The Kuffiya Kraze Goes Goth!
Seeing as the "Kuffiya Kraze" has become a "hot topic" on KABOBfest, I suppose that it's only fitting Hot Topic starts selling them... Oh, you don't know what Hot Topic is? It's that really hip anti-hipster store in all the major malls that commercializes Goth to the point where high school freaks have begun wearing ordinary people clothes just to stand out.
Oh, and Hot Topic has, by far, the most intriguing description of the kuffiya yet:
This white scarf features green various sized stripes.Woah! So THAT'S what it's all about!! To think, all this time I thought it carried some sort of cultural and/or political significance. Silly me... it just has "varioius sized stripes."
Seriously, I had no idea that when my grandfather gave me the red n' white kuffiya he wore while serving in the Jordanian military sixty-eight years ago that he was actually asking me to go Goth! Hell, I think I'll end this post early and go paint my fingernails black or something...
[Tarboush Tip: Nabeel]
---EDITOR'S NOTE---
Pssst! Nadeem and other KABOBers: please refer to the KABOBstyle Guide when referencing the contested spellings of the keffiyah. Or keffiyeh. Or kuffiyah. I mean, kufiya. Wait -- hatta. Or sometimes shemagh. And often Osama. And most recently, Obama.
According to the KABOBstyle Guide: spell it a bunch of different ways in each post to increase search engine returns!

KSA: "Hell, Even We've Got Standards!"
Brace yourselves, here comes the quote of the century…
"This is not a theatrical production. We are not coming to be photographed and to shake hands. We do not want to give people the wrong impression."Is it me, or is Prince Saud al-Faisal’s refusal to shake Ehud Olmert’s hand kinda like when a porn star refuses to kiss her co-star on the lips cause that’d just be too damn disrespectful to her boyfriend?

Break Me Off a PEACE of that Kit Kat Bar!
Thank you Associated Press for dumb-ing down the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to the point where it seems more like a "duh" than a "hmmmm." Both Israelis and Palestinians, as well as the AP's readership, should feel offended by such weak and condescending "reporting" (I use the term loosely).
This is precisely the reason why many people separate from the issue can't understand why those A-rabs and Jews don't just stop fighting and live together in peace. Apparently, it's as simple as buying a Kit Kat bar…
Among the most contentious issues between Israelis and Palestinians:
BORDERS OF A PALESTINIAN STATE-Palestinians want complete Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank.
-Israel wants 1949 cease-fire line changed to include main West Bank settlements.
-Possible solution: Modification of the cease-fire line and compensation by giving Palestinians some Israeli territory.
JERUSALEM
-Palestinians want east Jerusalem, including the Old City, as capital of their state.
-Israel has annexed east Jerusalem and offers control of some Arab neighborhoods.
-Possible solution: Sharing control of the city.
PALESTINIAN REFUGEES
-Palestinians demand the right of return for refugees and descendants of 1948-49 war.
-Israel believes refugees must be resettled in the new Palestinian state or where they now reside.
-Possible solution: Compensation for most, while allowing a token number to live in Israel.
WEST BANK JEWISH SETTLEMENTS
-Palestinians demand all Jewish West Bank settlements to be dismantled.
-Israel wants to keep main settlement blocs under its sovereignty.
-Possible solution: Israel gets its main West Bank settlements, Palestinians get part of Israeli land.
I hate to get racial on you, but it sounds pretty black n' white to me. All those other factors about human rights, international law, land value, religious and political ideology, sovereignty, etc are just there to complicate things. Shit, if Olmert and Abbasshole sign something in the next couple days, we can be celebrating with some Israeli Chummos by this time next week. Let's hear it for "Peace in the Middle East!"

Apparently Size DOES Matter for Israel
Although I can’t relate, I hear that men with small penises acquire big fancy things in order to compensate for their lack of manhood. So what does an entire nation of little dickheads do?
Not build an empire with borders that resemble a giant cock - cause that's SO 925 B.C. These days, they just rock the world’s largest flag.
Beneath the ancient Jewish desert strongpoint of Masada, the world's largest flag was unfurled Sunday, covering a large stretch of sandy hinterland. In Israel’s defense, the flag was actually created by an evangelical Christian Filipino, Grace Galindez-Gupana, who said that she decided to create the world’s largest sheet of toilet paper after G-d spoke to her “in thunder and lightening.”
The huge blue and white Israeli flag, 660 meters (2,165 feet) long and 100meters (330 feet) wide and weighing 5.2 metric tons, breaks the record for the world's largest, according to the Tourism Ministry.
Dang, what’s up with the Lord and rain showers lately? Too bad “the chosen people” aren’t Georgians…
In any case, Shaul Zemach, director general of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, topped off the unveiling with a fabulous soundbyte:
"This flag expresses the friendship between the Philippines and the state of Israel, and also the friendship between Jewish and Christian communities.”Zemach must be referring to a "friendship" based on a giant overshadowing of importance, because Israel is destroying Christianity in the Holy Land. But who cares about that? After all, Israel now has a BIG FLAG!! Woohoo!!!

Arab Sergeant in US Military Fights Deportation
Jamal S. Baadani, President and Founder of The Association of Patriotic Arab Americans in Military (APAAM), recently sent an email to his organizational listserv asking for assistance in preventing the deportation of an active-duty Arab sergeant in the US Army, Hicham Benkabbou. Baadani writes:
I don't understand how it is conceivable to deport a patriotic American who is fighting and helping his fellow soldiers to keep us safe from terrorist attack.Included in the email were two letters – the original plea for help from Sergeant Benkabbou and a letter of recommendation from his company commander, Captain Mcgee.
Sergeant Benkabbou writes:
I have had my citizenship application pending for close to two years now. It was awaiting my FBI name-check for sometime, and just recently, through Mr. James Windle in the Nebraska office, we found out that my name-check has finally been completed and cleared. My chain of command and I have been in contact with Mr. windle in efforts to schedule me for an interview here in Afghanistan (I'm currently deployed). I am in desperate need of assistance with my citizenship matter for it will have a great impact on my life at this point. A deportation case was initiated against me after I had submitted my citizenship application, and the head counsel and the judge in Atlanta informed us that being naturalized would terminate the case in court. I am also, with full support of my chain of command, being recommended to submit an officer candidate packet and will undergo a security clearance check soon, but I must be naturalized in order to commission.Captain McGee adds:
Finally, I am a proud and highly decorated and awarded Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, United States Army. I do not think I deserve to get deported after serving honorably during a time of war! I can read, write and speak Arabic, French and English. I have earned the utmost respect and confidence of my superiors and I shall be a great asset for our country if given the opportunity to become a United States citizen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
SGT Benkabbou's chain of command has pushed at every level to get his naturalization moved forward. Both myself and the Battalion Commander, LTC Peterman, have contacted senators, ICE (local, state, and federal levels), the prosecuting office in Atlanta, and the POC for naturalization while deployed. We have written letters of commendation extolling SGT Benkabbou's performance both in garrison and in combat. So far, we have had little apparent success.Benkabbou's case raises numerous questions related to immigration-at-large, Arab immigration in a post-911 context, and what role Arab-Americans should play in American society.
I have known SGT Benkabbou since he came to the unit from AIT almost three years ago and he has been a consistent, exceptional Paratrooper in all respects. I am as anxious to see this thing through for SGT Benkabbou as he is himself. He deserves to be awarded his citizenship.
As always, I am willing to assist him in any way I can. Let me know exactly what it is you are looking for and we will go from there.
Admittedly, I take issue with some of the positions and language that APAAM uses – which I’ll make the subject of future post – but I am in no way opposed to Arab-Americans joining the US military and/or intelligence communities. This position, however, remains a controversial one among Arab-Americans - and was even the topic of a recent NAAP conference panel, Collaborators or Patriots?
I’m interested in hearing what the KABOBcommunity thinks about Arab-American military service, the deportation of active-duty soldiers, or any other question/point that this case raises. Yallah - sound off!
By the way, if you can help Sergeant Hicham Benkabbou contact APAAM.

KSA Defends Punishment for Rape Victim
Reason one trillion why Wahhabism should be purged from Islam, the House of Saud should be overthrown, stripped of its wealth, and exiled, and the House of Shaykh should be tried and sentenced according to their own perverted take on Hamarabi's law…
The Saudi judiciary on Tuesday defended a court verdict that sentenced a 19-year-old victim of a gang rape to six months in jail and 200 lashes because she was with an unrelated male when they were attacked. […]Founded in 1932 by a three-way marriage of convenience between Abdul Aziz ibn Saud, the house of Shaykh, and Great Britain, Saudi Arabia has consistently and methodically violated the human rights of every man, woman, and child to step foot on its soil. This news story of a rape victim being convicted and tortured for being at the wrong place at the wrong time is only the latest example of how the Saudi government's self-righteous bullshit rule of law holds an entire nation hostage.
The ministry implied the victim's sentence was increased [from 90 to 200 lashes] because she spoke out to the press. "For whoever has an objection on verdicts issued, the system allows an appeal without resorting to the media," said the statement, which was carried on the official Saudi Press Agency.
Tell me, why does the United States consider the Taliban a criminal government but welcome Saudi Royalty with open arms when both rule according to the criminal blasphemy that's Wahhabism?
For a great primer on Saudi Arabia, I recommend As'ad AbuKhalil's The Battle for Saudi Arabia: Royalty, Fundamentalism, and Global Power

Also known to the KABOBfest community as “Nidalio,” Niko fulfilled a lifelong dream last night by finally opening his own dance studio. Located in the heart of West Philadelphia, Humpity Hump aims to provide disadvantaged youth with an alternative outlet for artistic expression.

OH SNAP! Almontaser Sues NYC Mayor
That's great May, now back to things that actually matter…
This morning the NY Times reported that Ms. Debbie Almontaser, the founding principle of NYC's Khalil Gibran International Academy, filed a lawsuit against Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Education Department Chancellor Joel I. Klein for suppressing her freedom of speech and "conspire-[ing] to deny her the opportunity to regain her position as principle."
If you recall, a few months ago Ms. Almontaser was pressured into resigning after a few spineless officials - pandering to a gang of racist Zionuts and xenophobic turds who launched a smear campaign against her for explaining that the Arabic word for "intifada" literally means "shaking off" - made it damn near impossible for her to continue in her duties as school principle.
Well, she's suing now. And seeing as this is a clear cut case of her first amendment rights being violated, she's likely to win too. So in advance, I'd just like to thank all the racist douche bags (namely the Stop The Madrassa Coalition) who made it possible for another influential pro-Palestinian to turn millionaire. I'm sure Ms. Almontaser will use her new found wealth for something really evil and anti-Semitic too… like…gasp…education!

Pop Quiz Hotshot!
Why is Israel fixing power grids in the Gaza Strip?
A. Because it realizes that blackouts aren't an effective means of collective punishment when those people you're trying to punish don't have electricity to begin with (cause you already eff-ed it up a while back)
B. Because it wants to hemilna jmeeleh that it makes petty concessions, and then use them as leverage in exchange for Abbasshole giving up the Palestinian people's Right of Return in Annapolis
C. Because despite what KABOBfest says, Israel really is a moral usurper

McCain Acknowledges Hillary is a "Bitch"
As a close friend of numerous bitches (namely Will and Nabeel), I take personal offense to this...
But on a serious note, I have to disagree with Mike Allen. I'm disappointed that McCain didn't handle this situation with a lot more class. Or, at the very least, assume that the old bag was talking about Giuliani instead. After all, everyone knows that he's the real "bitch."

Israel Urges Disney To Sue Hamas
This is pretty funny: Ynet reports that Israel’s consulate in Los Angeles is appealing to Walt Disney Corporation “to question whether Hamas violated copyright laws” by using a Mickey Mouse look-a-like (Farfour) in an anti-Israel kids show.
Allow me to help out with this one: Yes, Hamas robbed Mickey. No, Disney will never get a dime. Yeah, that’s messed up. But shit – no one gives a fuck.
I mean seriously, what's the point of all this? If it's to drag Hamas' name through the mud, it's obvious they're doing a great job of that alone. Besides, Farfour is dead now. Let the poor martyr rest in peace...
Haifa University Hinders Free Speech
Here's an interesting story that's controversial for all the wrong reasons:
Arab students attending the Haifa University distributed on Tuesday a leaflet titles "The Palestinian Student's Journal," which featured texts regarding the reoccupying of Jerusalem.Pick up on the controversy yet? Here's a hint… it's the reoccupation of Jerusalem. OoooOOOooooh! Can you believe those ungrateful third-class bastards, demanding the reoccupation of land that's legally and rightfully theirs to begin with?
The leaflet was distributed, they said, to mark both the anniversary of Former Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat's death, as well as the Arab Keffiyeh Day....a holiday celebrated by NYC hipsters all the time.
The flyers – unlike the university's Arab Students' Union's leaflets – were not sanctioned by the university and campus security was able to seize and confiscate a portion of them.Censorship on a university campus? In Israel? NO WAY! Seems to me like that should be the real controversy here. But alas, in the land of milk and honey and Zionuts - human rights tend to take a backseat to Israeli sentiment. (By the way, I wonder if they also react this way to pro-settler leaflets.)
MK Alex Miller (Yisrael Beiteinu) told Ynet that he had the material reviewed by a legal counsel and that he intended to file a police report against its distributors. For what, practicing their freedom of speech in a supposedly democratic state? Oh shoot, I forgot! My bad, Israel is only a democracy for Jewish people. Cool rules like that don't apply to stinky Arabs (that have tails and horns and sharp teeth and stuff). Rawr!!!
"The students distributing this material are guilty of incitement and are not worthy to be neither the university's students nor citizens of Israel," said Miller.Exile citizens for practicing critical free thought - now that's a good idea! Here's another one: If you're really fearful of "incitement," burn Der Judenstaat.
"I intend to demand President Shimon Peres' involvement in denouncing the leaflets' writers and distributors," he added.
Haifa University told Ynet that "when such material is found on campus grounds it is immediately confiscate by our security guards."
Isn't it interesting that campus security at Haifa University is not only tasked with patrolling campus property, but also students' minds?

Let's Shit on the House of Saud!
- Saudi nationals are relieved that reports claiming Pope Benedict XVI "merely touched" King Abdullah's sword weren't the other way around… otherwise that'd be TOTALLY GAY!
- Fatwa bans "Crazy Frog" from reciting the Shehadeh. "Doing the Butt," however, remains the Kingdom's number one downloaded ring-tone.
- Culturally-insensitive Saudi police punish Egyptian for practicing favorite national pass-time. (Sorry Hanaan)
- Saudi government sponsors free public street-theater performance. Audience member quoted as saying, "That shit was so funny, I nearly laughed my head off!"
- Wahabi government bans last remaining fun thing to do in Saudi Arabia: Pointlessly cruising up and down the Madina strip… whistling at boys?
- Witch executed for reading Koran on the toilet… um, yeah I'm like being totally serious with this one folks.
- Saudi misogynists baffled by women's decision to marry foreigners. Those ungrateful bitches…
- Study reveals camels allergic to Saudi semen. (sorry, had to go there...)
