It is true. The “Arabs Gone Wild” comedy tour of Dean Obeidallah, Maysoon Zayid, and Aron Kader came back to New York City for a 1 night only show. I felt the need to publish my own review of the show and I can promise you I will show no bias because I am arab. Then again, I was one of the comedians in the show so expect me to paint the bad as good and the good as great.
Comic book fans tell you that both the good guys and the bad guys have very little in common, but the one thing they always agree on is the importance of sidekicks. Like billions of people I enjoy a good song and love a good beat. A music video for a song that I happen to like is always a treat. In the past week, a number of new Arabic music videos have been released to be seen by all either on the small screen in an Arabic home or a computer monitor somewhere on Youtube. In a conversation with a highly educated friend of mine whose opinions I often respect, I learned he is not excited about the US Census. I thought I left that kind of thinking when I moved away from Las vegas where conspiracy theories often thrive. My friend thinks the government will use the census data to round up Arabs as needed. For a blog that has the world Kabob on it, we do not get to talk about food much, and since I like food and I like to talk about it, I took the liberty of writing a list of things and practices I find irksome to me.
